A man has a right to pursue his happiness. Period.

If I wanted to help, and the guy seemed genuine, I would have. You are thinking though the situation too much.
On a side-note, I know an ex-gun store owner who claims to have sold a guy a box of ammo only to have the guy come back and return it ... with exactly one round missing. You figure it out.

Sadly, I've bought several guns from older gun owners who couldn't use them anymore.
Just retired, so I've taken the time to stockpile ammo and to maintain/increase physical fitness.

It would be ridiculous for anyone to think that age had anything to do with physical or mental ability. I get by better than some guys ten years younger than me but at the same time there are guys ten years older who could run circles around me. Age has nothing to do with it.

I remember the "shall not be infringed" part, but I can't recall reading "unless you're blind, or computer illiterate, or the guy behind you in line thinks you're too old. "

I remember my grandfather (about 92 at the time) getting out of Mom's car, stripping off 2 of the 3 sweaters he was bundled in, and making his way out into the backyard to find a saw and start pruning trees. A half hour later I found him about 6 feet up a black Pine sawing off a branch. Tough old guy.

Only time I'll be "too old" to use a firearm is when they lower my casket into the ground, then shovel earth on top of it.

I'm sure my gun-cleaning paraphernalia will increase in quantity, however, if only to assist my increasingly-feeble musculature.

Not about the age to me, but of sound mind. My dad kept his old 38 special in his night stand loaded and ready - he passed in 2009 and I'll bet the ammo was from the 1970's maybe 80's. It was there after he was gone and I've since shot it several times and its fine. My dad was of sound mind all the way to the end. He made it to 85 and I would have trusted him to back me up anytime. I'm sure if someone is suffering dementia that's different and that's where a tough line needs to be addressed by family - if there is any.

I know a guy in his seventies who shoots at least once a month and is probably better at it than he was ten years ago. Never be a comp. level shooter but I wouldn't want him shooting at me. As long as your mind isn't going keep enjoying everything you do. Shooting, young wife, good food and drink and friends. The rest will take care of itself.

We take old people's DL's away because they might harm themselves or others.

If you can't properly operate a firearm e.g. pass a safe handling demo, maybe it's time to let it go.

Also, when did firearm ownership become a "god given right"? I didn't grow up in a religious household so maybe I missed this. However, I did take a few semesters of theology in college and I don't recall anything in the bible telling us to pack heat.

Lmcc0072 I can sell him (he paid me back) up to 500 rounds a month without involving a FFL. Since it was a box of 50 I should be ok.

The firearm/ammo laws in this state are stupid.

It is because you are reading the wrong bible.
