This is why I would never send a firearm away for servicing or warranty work.

It sucks, but I have to say I agree with the Pimp especially in California.

Good luck OP I hope it works out. I've been a Remington fan since I was a kid, this current state of affairs with Big Green just kills me.

Back in more stable times I sent a rifle back to Marlin for a repair. Easy, and all went well. Repair was made with no muss or fuss and at a very reasonable cost IMO.
These turbulent times are turning everything to crud. Capitalism used to work out ok. Not working out so well anymore IMO.

He estimates 4 weeks for my repair to be complete and ready to ship back. I realize that this is possible smoke blowing.

Capitalism works out fine, when a company gets greedy like this people go elsewhere when the quality drops and the company goes bankrupt. Another steps up and takes it's place. Perhaps a socialist country would be a better place for you to buy and return guns for service comrade.

I searched him up. And found his contact info. I called and got him on the phone. He was surprised to be contacted, but was very cordial and asked me to email all my info. He forwarded it to the plant manager to get some information for me. We will see. Ill keep you in the loop.

He did mention that they are in the process of getting their ffl at remington, so even if finished, they can't ship repairs yet. There is NEW inventory sitting on the shelf at remington just waiting for the FFL to go through as well.
Your in a tight situation. I wish you the best of luck.

Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

Vista Outdoors bought the Remington ammo business. They also make Federal.

Well. Socialists would need to defend their way of life, so yeah, arms service would happen. When the global bankers allow a few socialist countries to exist relatively peacefully then I may consider the options.

Thanks for all the comments. I got a chuckle. Some were harsh but might be true. Im gonna stick to my gut on this though. If I get burned, I'll come on here and whine and complain. I'll be expecting the "I told you so" comments. Either way, I'm rolling the dice on a positive outcome from big green.

Sounds like Round Hill purchased a hornets nest.

If they want to union bust, it looks like they'll have to shutter those facilities and move to different states.

If they want to keep those facilities open, it looks like they'll have to hire back the union labor force or face labor unrest and lawsuits for years.

I wonder if the union contact expired?

I imagine the new owners didn't take on the responsibility for Remington's workers. They bought the physical assets only and none of the liabilities including any current and future product liability lawsuits from the old Remington operation.

I just received paperwork from remingtons bankruptcy representatives. I have to make a claim by December 10th. Im not sure this applies to my situation. It reccomends I contact a lawyer. 20 pages of legal jargon. Ugh. I just want my gun back fixed or not.
