    Remington customer service (returned unrepaired)

back in August I sent in a gun for warranty repairs. Canted sight/missing parkerizing.

I was emailed a link to check in from time to time to see status.

Ive spoken to them on the phone a couple times over the past 2 months, including after round house bought them. About 2 weeks ago I was told that the barrel is backordered and should take a couple weeks. The gentleman assured me that the repair department wasn't affected by the furlough.

Flash forward to today.....i check the link and the entire account is suspended. I try the phone number and says their customer service is closed.

Ill admit im a little nervous, but I'm sure it will all work out in the end for my firearm. I may have to wait much longer than expected.

Mostly I'm concerned about the employees there. I hope they are able to get back to work soon. This last 6-8 months must be horrible to a lifetime remington employee. Good luck to you guys and gals at the BIG GREEN.

Similar story from a guy who lost a silencer to the bankruptcy:
Contacted AAC directly about getting a new latch put on my 7 year old 762-SD (51t). Great customer service, had a FedEx prepaid label supplied, and they even provided a ticket number for the repair on

Maybe you’ll see something of value in that thread.

The bankruptcy, buyout and re org isn't going to help. I only own a 700 clone from Christensen. I just hope PSA keep making their shotgun shells.

As someone who has been in middle management, you always tell your workers they won't be affected. In turn they tell the customers the same. The money can't stop flowing... Layoff on a Friday and escort them out.

Go to local 'smitty - send Remington the bill.

ANYBODY in ch.7 / 11 bankruptcy, you do the same thing. My Uncle Bob owned a couple of late model New Yorkers, still under warranty when Chrysler was floundering in the late '70's. Went to his son (independent mechanic) to do warranty work - sent Chrysler the bill!

I'd have to get the gun back first. Thanks for the tip.

Do everything you can to get that gun back. There is no replacement barrel on backorder.

Maybe call Ruger CS and ask if they have plans to take-over Remington warranties?

Round hill llc. not ruger. Thanks, I sent an email. Im optimistic, but I don't doubt your claim about the barrel isn't on backorder.

Thanks beanz2 I would have never found that number without you. I called and spoke to a lady named Sheila. She is looking into the matter for me. It was good to speak to someone.

Update: a guy from JJE capital called me back. He told me that I needed to contact ROUND HILL LLC. He didn't have a number but remembered dealing with a guy by the name of Richmond Italia from round hill.

I searched him up. And found his contact info. I called and got him on the phone. He was surprised to be contacted, but was very cordial and asked me to email all my info. He forwarded it to the plant manager to get some information for me. We will see. Ill keep you in the loop.

He did mention that they are in the process of getting their ffl at remington, so even if finished, they can't ship repairs yet. There is NEW inventory sitting on the shelf at remington just waiting for the FFL to go through as well.

                          Best of luck!

Remington has been awfully managed the last few years, they ruined Marlin and the quality has gone down hill.

                          Not a fan.

Jeff the plant manager from remingtin called me today. He said he has eyes on my firearm. He told me with everything going on that parts should start flowing soon. He assured me that even though things are in turmoil as far as a company at the moment, I have nothing to worry about as far as getting my firearm back repaired. It is just taking longer. He estimates 4 weeks for my repair to be complete and ready to ship back. I realize that this is possible smoke blowing.

I know its a gamble, but I am gonna keep it there to be repaired. I t was a tough decision, but such is life. Ill check back in here in a month. If you all hear anything relevant, please post.
