Why do all the different gun shops I been to have tons of Springfields? I thought hellcat is one of the best out there? Are the rest sucks?

Had an xd40 tactical for 10 years, served me well. Like a glock\1911 hybrid. For me I decided to go all 9mm. Nothing wrong with it.

Over the past couple years most of the newer buyers I knew where talked into an XD by the gun shop. Not sure if there is a better margin for them or the really like them that much

Love my XD-9. But then again I'm the guy who has to have an Android phone when everyone else wants an iPhone...

"tons"? "different shops"? If so, you should probably direct all the folks currently scouring the market for firearms, on that way. Help out both sides of the market.

I have an Xd40 Tactical. I've never had any issue whatsoever with it. Although I currently prefer other platforms as first options, I have no negatives to offer up on it. It's well built, and mine is not for sale.

can't shoot as well with XD Tactical 9mm
compared to my Glock 34 - still solid guns.

I like my XD Tac better than a Glock for 3 reasons.
1.Better accuracy
2. Grip safety
3. Heavier slide to help with recoil.

Glocks are good guns, no doubt. One thing that I do appreciate is the shear volume of after market parts for them.

There is nothing wrong with the XD line. However, some rag on it because:

- it is not an expensive gun
- It is not a Glock or CZ, etc
- Springfield, as a company, has made some political choices that have offended or alienated some in the 2A community
- Some do not like or want grip-safeties
- Not as many after market upgrade parts
- As a California roster handgun, it is not the newest thing on the block
- haters like to hate

However, none of these reasons have kept me from using one and being able to reliably put rounds down range.

Is it perfect? No. Personally, I have upgraded a trigger, sights and switched out an extended mag release button on my XD.

Could I have spent more money on another handgun that had all the features that I wanted? Perhaps. But at the time I bought an XD, I chose it as my first handgun with the thought that it was moderately priced and allowed me to learn about shooting without breaking the bank and in case shooting was something that I ultimately found I did not like. Additionally, it fit my hand and as such "spoke to me" in a way that a Shield or Glock did not do at the time. Lastly, as a new shooter, I felt a little safer to begin with having the grip safety.

Would I buy another XD? Again perhaps but in all honesty, it is not a VP9

I believe the salespeople at Turners for example get points for every Springfield they sell. They can use those points to purchase guns for themselves. I am not sure if they get the points from Turners or springfield. If its Springfield giving them the points I would understand if a lot of people are pushing them.

I love my XDs, I shoot them well and they have never failed me.

Glocks are ok. M&P is my favorite closely followed by my Colt 1911....

They're really good pistols. You won't be disappointed.

I carried a Glock 23 for 20 years and it was perfect but I switched to an XD40 in retirement, I made the right choice, for me.

No, they're selling. Selling so much to the point that Springfield ran out of hard cases and is now shipping them in cardboard boxes like certain S&W lines. They're being imported from Croatia by the droves to meet panic buying demand.
