What's the benefit of a SCAR17 over an AR 308? It obviously looks a lot cooler, but beyond that, what are the practical advantages

What's the benefit of a SCAR17 over an AR 308? It obviously looks a lot cooler, but beyond that, what are the practical advantages

right out of the box accuracy I believe. Filling that multi-platform roll. also the recoil management is significantly different. the folding stock has real advantages too.

finally suppressor capability right out of the box. adjustable gas block flipping a switch.

AR was originally designed as a .308 platform I believe but was quickly changed to 5.56. could have this wrong but dont think so.
