Selling ammo in economic collapse? How many times did we hear that fear mongering? You watched too much youtube videos. Plus, selling or trading ammo in crisis situation is a deathwish.

You may want to review the results of Prop 63. There is no numerical limit on importation amount because all importation (other than exemptions) is banned.

The review of that is smeared on the used TP; as I'm sure lots of other folks believe.

But money first. Ammo will be available and prices will go down. No need to hoard. That is what gun industry wants you to do. They fear monger you. They want to steal your stimulus check money. Save your money.
I would suggest elimination of ALL debt, real estate included, as the immediate financial step after accumulating a year or two worth of income that is socked away as cash, prior to acquiring more than a dozen or so firearms, and appropriate stocks of ammo for such. If you have covered the likely practical needs as weapons go, hold off for a bit and get other stuff squared away.
A rotational food supply regimen is also key, as well some currency that may be accessed without needing an ATM.
The whole subject is very complex, way beyond this thread's scope.

But I want to warn new gun owners. Just buy a few guns that you need to defend yourself and save your money. Guns are terrible investment. You lose money right away.

I didn't see any fear mongering from the gun industry. Maybe there was some, but it didn't reach any part of the market I'm in. There was a fair amount of demand caused by the fear of what the dim's wanted to do. I think THAT affected the market way more than any gun industry advertising.
People can make a choice to believe advertising or not. Fears are not always rational. In the post Sandy Hook environment, some fear was rational. When supply doesn't meet demand, and people see that, people fear they won't get their share. See the TP situation of a few weeks ago.
There are some people that it's just not worth engaging.

It's a muzzle BRAKE, not a muzzle break. Or is your muzzle tired?

The point is that, "49 rounds per trip" is irrelevant.

It is all worthless because in one session the Democrats will outlaw all lead bullets. You may have 30000 rounds and have to go out of state to shoot them.

My buddy ordered enough supply to load 100,000 rounds of each caliber he shoots.

I'm selling pallets of smmo. 90,000 rounds on a pallet. I normally sell a box of 50 rounds a month.

Ugh! I moved about 2 tons of ammo when I went north. I bought a lot more here because it was a good way to get known at the gun stores and good prices with no sales tax in Oregon were irresistible to me.
Now I am doing inventory and it is tedious as hell, but we're in lockdown here and it's something to do that really needs to get done. But dammit! I want to be out shooting this stuff, not sitting in my garage counting it

For those of us that remembered the last shortage and took steps to insure that we had an adequate supply: Good news! Your net worth has gone up!

I decided to think like a Mormon except I would concentrate mostly on ammo. That would be with 9mm, 40 SW, 223/556 and 12 ga. I also have adequate 7.62 x 39 and 9 mm Mak. I'm reloading 224 Valkyrie and 458 SOCOM and some 223. I have about 8K of 223/556 clean, once fired (by me) and de-primed brass but I already have enough factory loads so I only load high BC rounds. I also have thousands of dirty 9mm and 40SW cases that are once fired by me but I have enough commercial to last a while.

I would have bought more especially while prices have been down but I've already run out of storage. I hope it never comes to this but it is always possible that loaded ammo could be worth more than gold.

There are also shortages on the reloading supplies side. Powders and cases can be difficult to obtain.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

If this ever becomes the case, gold would make excellent projectiles. Its density is much higher, still soft, melting point on par with copper so it shouldn't foul a barrel much either. And non-toxic!

                            Solid gold projectiles.

                            That's quite a tangent you're on!

I suddenly feel A LOT better about my stash of Barnes copper solids.

And I was feelin' good already.
