Without realizing it I have amassed 50,000 rounds of my various calibers. It hit me when I moved it from CA to NV.

I have not found a shooting facility as convenient and easy to use as the Apple Valley Gun Club.

I think the Ammo market will be mostly back to normal by December if Trump is re-elected. If the Democrat Communists somehow win, this country will sink into the abyss and there will be another run on guns and ammo in November.

I warned you guys days before the sgammo warning.
This is not a typical panic run after a shooting. It is lack of all means to get 1 cartridge to your door.

Wolf is closed until July. Seems like nothing but oyu have to factory that it takes time to get to the USA and then it takes time to get out of customs. That adds months to the process.

I am good. I started stockpiling ammo and reloading supplies in the mid 1980's. I had some before but that is when I got serious about it. Been buying ever since when I found stuff at good prices or got a firearm that used a different cartridge.
Some of the same people who are whining about the shortages are the same that were doing the same the last shortage and even ones before. Same for the panic buyers. I do not feel sorry for them.
Then there are the new people who panic buy after not wanting any firearms before. Those I REALLY do not feel sorry for.
Last there are those that just became old enough(or have the money) to get into the firearm/hunting/shooting/reloading hobbies/sport. They were interested before the panic and shortages but not able to buy. I do feel sorry for those people and things will settle down in time for them to enjoy the sport.
Just remember this is not the 1st shortage and panic buying and it will not be the last. So plan ahead and stock up when supplies are good and prices lower.
Last thought---There is only one direction prices go for ammo and reloading supplies over time. That is higher. They will keep and not go bad--they are not lettuce. I have stuff I bought in the 1960's that is still good and cost way less then.

I was advised by the BIG GUY way up behind the clouds ( THE LORD ) back in mid 2010 to " Prepare a offensively prepared defense." I had to chew on that for some weeks to get my head right with it. I picked up a Saiga .308 Sporter and lotsa .308 stuff, for it, soft point FMJ etc. Stashed .44 spl and mag as well 9mm and Garand 30-06 and 22lr and the like. Kept it up until earlier this year and received some more for Christmas.

People focus way too much on guns and ammo for shtf prep. Most important prep is financial. I honestly believe if you have 1 reliable handgun and around 300 rounds of ammo, you will be OK. If you have at least 50000 dollars saved up in savings 24/7 then go ahead and hoard whatever you want. But money first. Ammo will be available and prices will go down. No need to hoard. That is what gun industry wants you to do. They fear monger you. They want to steal your stimulus check money. Save your money.

I have one handgun and one shotgun. A little over 4,000 rounds for the handgun, 750 shotgun shells of various flavors, no debt besides having to pay for rent, food, gas, etc. and about 4-5 months of an emergency fund, and working on getting that to a year's emergency fund. Even though my hours have been cut a little at work (ok, I'll be honest, I've been voluntarily taking time off because work is slow now) I'm still putting money into savings currently.

Plus, what's the point of stockpiling ammo right now if we can't even use it? It's currently ridiculously expensive, and it's not like any of the ranges are open. If you have access to a private outdoor range, BLM land, etc. that's great, but I bet most of us are going out and shooting our guns a fraction of what we were a few weeks ago, so the ammo we currently have isn't being used.

I only have 3 handguns, 1 shotgun, and 2 ars. I do have lots of ammo but I bought them after saving enough money to feel comfortable in savings account.
I see my peers driving nice trucks and nice big guns and have like 15000 dollars in savings account. I don't understand the mentality.

Gun industry and their fear mongering to steal money really sickens me. I stopped buying guns back in 2014 after sandyhook.
3 handguns, 1 shotgun, and 2 ars will last me life time.
But I want to warn new gun owners. Just buy a few guns that you need to defend yourself and save your money. Guns are terrible investment. You lose money right away.
