DROS processing sounds like a desk job. Government desk jobs will just be ordered to telecommute if there is a lockdown.

And release is automatic after 10 24hr periods even if the govt workers don't get around to actually doing the background check.

Newsom suggested 65YO+ self-quarantine. It's not a hard/fast decree AFAIK.

I'm more concerned that CA gov will block the approval of recent purchases to quell 'widespread panic'. The state/fed has almost limitless powers when it comes to 'emergency' response.

Supposed to put an hk in jail tonight. Wanted it for a year, ordered it a while ago but waiting for it to come in. Wish we could at least start the dros from the moment gun is ordered, but that would make sense. Don't really NEED another gun, but there's still room n the safe.

That's a very interesting issue. I would hope that no government employees would ever be able to access any DROS database away from a secured facility. I can envision major abuse and security issues with that capability. That brings up a question: is data entry/modification of the DROS or other firearms related state electronic system(s) behind some type of heavily guarded firewall or other secured manner?.....One would think that is very heavily protected against numerous types of attack or computer virus issues....

I often fantasize about someone going rogue and purging the long gun, handgun, and AW databases.

So, if you already have more guns than you need, like pretty much everyone here, why do they more than an instant background check? The cooling down period doesn't apply. Wouldn't any flags show up in an instant check today?
