    Possible Lockdown in Waiting Period

So, what happens if everything but grocery and drug stored gets locked down while you are waiting 10 days for your gun you just purchased? DOJ could be shut down too. Would they let you pick it up if it went past 30 days or would you have to start the DROS process all over? Is now a bad time to buy/sell a gun?

Continue living as usual, with more precautions about catching or spreading disease.

Absolute worst case scenario if you buy and can't pick up in time is that you'll have to reDROS. If you don't even DROS in the first place, it's going to take a lot longer than 10 days.

Those people will get a lesson on the "negative aspect for failure to prepare". Given that the majority of such people allowed these laws to pass, I have NO sympathy for their current predicament. I already have everything I need.

^^^^Clearly Federal, State, and Local government agencies are unprepared for this. It's just another reason why the Swamp needs to be drained, dredged, and made significantly smaller.

My 10 day ends Tuesday morning. Hmm, I hope I can pick up.

DROS processing sounds like a desk job. Government desk jobs will just be ordered to telecommute if there is a lockdown. Same with federal check. I wouldn't expect any issue.

That's a very interesting issue. I would hope that no government employees would ever be able to access any DROS database away from a secured facility. I can envision major abuse and security issues with that capability. That brings up a question: is data entry/modification of the DROS or other firearms related state electronic system(s) behind some type of heavily guarded firewall or other secured manner?.....One would think that is very heavily protected against numerous types of attack or computer virus issues....

Not all of us are panic buying. Some of us got our tax return and have been eyeballing a new 1911. It's a valid question. Won't matter if DOJ is still running but the FFL, like other businesses, are forcibly "closed".

Why are calgunners such terrible boaters? I hear about lots of boating accidents. It’s crazy. Be careful on those lakes.

So, if you already have more guns than you need, like pretty much everyone here, why do they more than an instant background check? The cooling down period doesn't apply. Wouldn't any flags show up in an instant check today?

^ Haha, that's funny, applying logic to CA gun laws. When you shift the objective from making sensible public safety laws to "how can I mess with gun owners even more?", only then will the laws make sense.
