You know whats really messed up? There is a glut of LE trade in P226s and P229s in free states going for $350-$400. Tons of S&W model 59s too.

Meanwhile in CA, my LGS has a beat to hell P226 on the consignment rack for $800. And they wont even let you take the slide off to inspect the rails for wear.

I've shot a 1911 and really enjoyed it. Also shot a few other .45's and really enjoyed them as well.

SIG 226 is the nicest 9mm I've ever fired. It just shoots. No idea why I don't own one (yet).

Not a thing wrong with the M92 though, but given a choice I'd go with the SIG hands down.

So the obvious answer is you need both!

All this talk of Sig makes me wish I could still shoot Sig pistols. I had to sell mine because I didn't want to alter my grip when shooting with every other gun but the slide release is right in the spot where my right thumb sits when I'm gripping the pistols so I could never get the slide to lock back on an empty mag. Anyone else experienced this or is it just my grip?
