depending on his financial condition but if he's like me, that will give him heart attack and be eating ramen for months . start him with p226 first, then work it up to legion next, then boom! x5 and/or p210.

LOL, the same thing happened to me. Years ago a friend of mine let me shoot his P226 at the range and I shot better with it than my Beretta Brigadier Inox that I had for several years. I ended up with a bunch of Sigs and ended up selling the Beretta, in spite of liking the looks of it

Hey skyhawk you taught me something new thank you for that. Yes I prefer the solid pin to the coil pin. I guess I haven't seen the old old ones because all the old ones I had personal experience with were solid. Mine is solid like your fde. Thanks for correcting me and for the pictures of the beautiful collection.

Yes, there is an official thing known as a SIGness that causes one to buy multiple SIGs. So I heard, from a friend, about another guy.
It was not a threat. It was an exaggerated response to an uncompromising stance. I was taught never to make a threat unless you are prepared to carry it out and I am not a fan of carrying anything. Even watching other people carrying things makes me uncomfortable. Mainly because of the possibility they may ask me to help.

All this talk of Sig makes me wish I could still shoot Sig pistols. I had to sell mine because I didn't want to alter my grip when shooting with every other gun but the slide release is right in the spot where my right thumb sits when I'm gripping the pistols so I could never get the slide to lock back on an empty mag. Anyone else experienced this or is it just my grip?

The P226 and P229 are the only guns that I cannot resist buying if I see a good deal on them. They are great shooting guns. The only issue I have had with them is replacing the sights and sighting them in. The Sig sighting system isnt alway correct for the particular firearm. I have one Sig that I thought I just couldnt shoot. Well low and behold the front sight was just a tad bit off. Once they are dialed in, you just cant miss.

The Signess is way worse than Glockoma.

The signess hurts the wallet more, but Glockoma will wreck havock on extra safe space.

                              The answer is always "both."
