how did that protest work out in Virginia? did it stop the anti-gun law?
oh wait, it didn't??
On February 11th, the House of Delegates voted 51-48 to pass House Bill 961 following fierce opposition from citizens. Michael Bloomberg’s bought and paid for lawmakers have moved HB 961 very quickly. Despite this, Second Amendment supporters have mobilized quickly at each step. HB 961 will now move to the Senate.
i thought just protesting will get those anti-gun legislators to stop their ways...
Four state Senate Democrats broke ranks in tabling a bill that would have banned the sale or transfer of certain assault-style weapons. It also would have banned magazines with more than 12 rounds.
Just curious, what does crow taste like?Comment

If I still lived in CA and wanted to stay and they said I need a Real ID, I'd get one... Got mine here in Utah..A federal requirement for airline travel.
If they told me I need to update CFARS, I'd do it... I wouldn't like it, but if I wanted to stay in CA and buy guns and ammo, I'd follow it's laws.. Otherwise I'd leave.Comment

This is the crux guys, and we shouldn't be bickering among ourselves as the the reason OR the solution. It is a problem that should not exist no matter the cause in each case.Buy made in USA whenever possible.Comment

In all honesty, I wouldn't know. Getting all warm n fuzzy feelz because 1 didn't pass. But many others did. Is AzzBackwards reasoning where RIGHTS are concerned.
And is EXACTLY how 2A went into the Chitter in CrapOfornia.
Just like it is currently happening in NEVADA.Last edited by pacrat; 02-19-2020, 12:24 AM.Comment

Question: If I have a recently (2014-15) purchased AR and I live at the same address. Can I buy pistol ammo for a pistol given to me by my Dad in the early 80's?
Anyway some of us saw this coming, I spent a ton stocking up on enough ammo to last me 5-10 years depending on caliber.
But it sucks for my kids. I hate this state and I was planning to be out of Commiefornia this year, but family issues.... So, I'm glad I bought a LOT of ammo pre-BS-ammo-laws.sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.Comment

There are no checks against 'caliber of ammo' vs 'caliber of gun on file in AFS'.
So long as you are not a prohibited person, if your ID-address matches your AFS-address, you can buy any ammo you like.ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page
Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!Comment

Hello Buddy,I have not purchased ammo since 2010.
I went to buy some shotgun shells and was denied.
The clerk said I probably need to go onto CFARS to create an account and "register" a firearm since I have not purchased a firearm since 2010 and I changed my address in 2013.
This does not make sense, I have a CCW and multiple handguns and they have all been registered.
I went to the website and entered a handgun of mine that is on my CCW, entered the old address of where I lived when I purchased that handgun and my current address too.
I then went to my "cart" and it had the handgun listed and no dollar amount for the update.
When I submitted the info after I previewed it, it said "since the transaction required no payment, the reports were submitted successfully for DOJ review".
Is this normal? I was told there is a fee I had to pay after doing all of this.
You just have to go to CFARS, create an account, and update your information on a gun you purchased, or report a long gun purchased before 2014 with CRIS. The difficulty with updating your information on an old handgun is you need to know the exact information that was used during the original DROS when you purchased it. If you know this information on one of your hand guns you can do that using the AFS personal information update. If you want to report/register a long gun that was not recorded (purchased before 2014) you can use the California Reporting Information System (CRIS). Both can be found here https://cfars.doj.ca.gov
Once you do that, it should only take a day or two and you will be able to purchase ammo using the address you provided to CFARS. The check costs $1 each time you buy ammo.
You can purchase any legal ammo in any quantity without restriction. They do not make sure you have a gun that matches the ammo. Anyone who is saying that is wrong.Last edited by SanDiego619; 02-21-2020, 9:10 PM.Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty.

This is why it's a bulls*** law. Now, not only does the DOJ know what kind of gun you now just bought, they now know what kind of ammo you have AND how much of it.
It's none of the DOJs frigging business how much and what kind of ammo you and I buy. Now, if say you wanna go buy ammo for say the sake of this example...you wanna buy ammo for a 45-70 your buddy has and you walk up to buy it, you're gonna get denied because you are NOT in their systems as owning any kind of firearm in 45-70.
Unless you are in the systems as having bought a firearm in 45-70 which in turn now identifies you as having one or not and this is why everyone will get denied buying ammo for something they may or may not own.
Following me here??
Best solution to this, vote the Democrats outta office...or just move to another state.
Incorrect. I purchased 38 special from big 5 @ 1$ and I do not have a 38 registered to me.

I'm glad I saw this thread. I haven't needed to buy ammunition for a couple of years, but was at a shop recently and asked about the process. I've moved since the law went into effect. They told me I needed to bring in a gun and re-DROS it to update the address. They didn't mention the website where I can update for free.bluenoiseise.
