my plan is to hang around a couple of fat asses (morbidly obese fat asses!) and I'll just outrun them while the zombies chow down on them. then I'll just throw a few pigs which have swine flu at them and then I'll be safe.

My plan involves trucking my *** down to the nearest train station with a couple buddies of mine and jacking a rail runner(truck that can run on train tracks and the road). After that we haul *** up to the siskiyous and hole up inside the big electric dam up there.

Well, any way you can get there, I would head to North Canada or Alaska. Or at least the high Sierras or Cascades for lower 48 on the west coast. If these are undead zombies they will freeze solid at 32 degrees or lower temps. (which is eventually how humans prevail in WWZ) Even non-dead virus infected humans (like 28 days later) wouldn't last long in freezing temps either since they lack the ability to reason and dress warmer. Maybe the I Am Legend ones might pose an issue, nocturnal yes, but they were depicting reason towards the end of that movie and they had much higher body temperatures.

Wait till winter and then just cut the heads the frozen ones off before thaw.

Assuming you have time to respond and move. Remember The Stand? That's a much more likely scenario for us all, Swine Flu could eventually be one of those planet killer viruses. You either are or are not immune to it. Not much you can do at that point but get out of the way of the impending panic and riots before everyone is infected.

Wouldn't want to be in China or India with any of these scenarios playing out though. 1 billion plus each.

When I was a kid my neighbor a retired general who I grew close to after his wife passed away and children who hardly visit him told me all about the Installations at the EL Toro marine base. For a while I didn't really understand because I was only a kid. To think of it now, it would be a good base camp in case of an apocalyptic event.
He did mention foreign invasions, zombies, and intergalactic scenarios.. Most of the kids in our neighborhood thought he was nuts. A good man. He passed away in 1999.

why el toro? Camp Pendleton is a much better choice. Plenty of bunkers, ammo and weapons galore, tanks, helos, lcac's, supplies. . . much better idea than El Toro
