I've only been to this range a couple of times but I'm liking it so far. The wife (& son) are just getting into shooting and the wife likes it there so we'll definitely be going back. I love shooting but haven't been out as much as I'd like to. This range is so close to me that I can't understand why I haven't been going regularly.

BTW - sorry I missed the guy with the black powder!

They closed their memberships to new members. Dont even think they do a newsletter anymore. Kind of sad to see the trend.
I see Livermore is re-opening their membership. $150 annual membership and $150 initiation fee.

Livermore-Pleasanton Rod & Gun Club offers a variety of shooting sports. With some of the best facilities in N.Cal it's a safe and friendly place to shoot.

Odd announcement on one of the cease-fires. Couldn't tell exactly what he was saying. Oh well. Saw some newbies getting their first rounds down-range. As always, SOP is to watch your neighbors for any unsafe practices. One guy was shooting black powder. MAN! What a boom! And the smoke that followed! Hilarious! Never seen anyone shooting black powder before.

All in all a nice day.
Black powder is great fun. Some of the trap shooters will sneak a black powder round into their buddy's ammo. Always a fun response.
