Probably depends on the range. I just got back from guns fishing and other stuff in Dublin. I didn’t bring anything crazy, just some 17 round pistol mags. But I asked them if they had any restrictions and they said I could bring anything I want. So you can bet next time I go I’ll be dual wielding AK47s with 75 round drum mags!!! Aloha snackbarrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! Lol

If you look at gun ownership in CA, it’s more likely that 4 million orders were placed. If they averaged 3 per order that’s well over 10 million.

So who now owns more MAGAzines; the American military or California gun owners?

I can say with certainty that California is +114 standard capacity mags. And I’m just one guy. It was a GREAT freedom week.

Who cares how many came in?
The point is California gun owners took a great big drink of freedom and hopefully, they want more. Enough maybe to get off their butts next election and throw the bums out!

The more that came in, the more they are Common Use. Part of determining if something is protected under the 2nd these days.

I personally would be surprised if even a million mags got shipped, yes, I have seen some numbers posted here from vendors, but it does not add up to me. The majority of gun owners in Calif. still have no idea that this wonderful event even happened and the large majority didn't buy new magazines. Yes, the majority of Calgunners bought magazines, myself included (I bought 6, 2 for each semi I own (I am a revolver kind of guy)) but we CG'ners are the minority of gun owners in Ca. I bet that IF we could ever get a real number, I bet its under 500,000 magazines total. Just a real world view with my CG rose colored glasses off.
Even if not calgunners - vendors have sent numerous emails to people on their mailing lists stating they were now selling magazines. So even if they had a news blackout and hadn't checked calguns some found out anyway and took action.

I actually know gun owners that didnt buy any mags. Either due to budget constraints or they already had plenty of SCMs.

Interesting, today I walked into two gunshops in NorCal and there was a line of people waiting to purchase their hicap mags. The staff at the shop had cases of mags behind the counter and I can truly say the selling was brisk. One shop had a dedicated cash register and again people were lined up often buying 5 at a time.
