Anyone else stuck with too much ammo?

I really don’t think there’s such a thing as “too much ammo”.

For most I think a minimum of 1000 rounds is standard stock on hand.

1000 rds per caliber, maybe, even then I'd feel understocked.

1000 rounds is only five days' target practice @ 200 rds per day... not very much at all if you think about it.

I am a surplus ammo shooter. What you do is hire me to come over and shoot up your ammo for you. Financing is available.

at 200 rounds per day it would take me over 2 years to shoot up just my 22 ammo.

I understand the age thing, but doesn't just possessing your collection of guns and ammo, (ie knowing you have them) give you satisfaction? Like comic book , classic car or art collectors?
Also, wouldn't your kids be happy to get them all?

Nope. I tried to give my kids more of my firearms but they declined.

Just store it well - ammo in airtight containers with desiccants can last decades.

Actually, a house my sold was from an old hoarder fella that stored so much ammo in the attic it broke roof beams.

I'm not saying that was too much but do chose your storage method appropriately.
