F2, I'm a zillion times more likely to need to flag down a server than face a tactical situation while dining. I'm counting on them coming and going from the kitchen.

They can ignore you just as efficiently there as anywhere else.
Personally, I don't like the noise and traffic near the kitchen and prefer to be some distance away.

G1. Back to the wall and you have full visibility of the entire restaurant. You can see the door, the waiting area, the comings and goings of the kitchen, and it looks like you can see the bathrooms too.

If you said C2, there's a whole lot of the restaurant you can't see from there. 1D might be my second choice but you would have to monitor both your left side and your right side from there. At G1 you only have to monitor two directions (straight and to your left) and you can likely have the entire restaurant in your peripheral vision.

If you can pick your seat, the food probably sucks... but strategically, G1 would be my choice...

C2, good line of sight to the front door and closest to the only exit (thru the kitchen and out the side door) other than the front door.

I just had dinner with a cop, she made me switch seats, she said she would stress all through the meal if she didn’t have her back to the wall. Jeez, they are paranoid. Now granted, she works for a big city department in the ghetto, it’s understandable.

You don't identify windows or emergency exits(as noted above) Those play a role.

A1 or A2 offer good view of main door and is furthest away.

D1 or D2 are similar to above.

C2 offers reasonable view of main door plus 'cover'.

D1. I can see the door, hostess and down the hallway to the bathrooms.

My concern with C2 is if the threat comes out of the bathroom or kitchen and around the corner he is only five feet away from you before you see him.

C1. The best place to see every door. The back wall does not have a view of the kitchen door. There is an exterior door in the kitchen and attackers may enter that way. C1 also has a wall at your back. No indications of where a window may be however which could change my plans.
