Exactly. In my last African hunt I had a PH, two trackers, a game scout (to make sure hunting was done according to rules), two skinners, a cook, and a housekeeping person.

The tips I gave per day to each member of the staff (not counting the PH which was 15% of the total) were close to a year's worth of wages in Zimbabwe. One guy that I tipped real well due to extraordinary tracking services was in tears.

Unemployment at Zim was about 95% at the time.

Not to mention two elephants weighing 20,000 lbs or so fed many people for months.

This type of reasoning is highly ironic.

On one hand, we as a society have "moral relativism" to allow us to ignore any and all moral norms that had been established in the human society for thousands of years, yet on the other hand we have very strong statements based on some pseudo-morality with no other basis than "this is how I feel."

So which one is it? Are we bound by ethics and morality as established by the society, or are we free to have our own?

This is a matter of word definition. If you don't like to use "hunting," you can call it "eradication" or "culling." Not right or wrong either way, as long as you're not implying anything about ethics (which is an altogether different issue).

I am dumb and don't quite see the point here. Or you may be associating me and my stance with the current "everything is gray including gender" tide for some reason, which is not fair to me, cuz I am certainly not part of that crowd.

I put lots of content out regularly. I am currently working on a video where I open Navy SEAL issued sniper ammo from 1968 (Vietnam). The SEAL Sniper later became a Commander and is a close friend of mine. He gave me quite a bit of the issued ammo among other things. I will be comparing it to modern day match ammo to test SD, MV, MS, grouping, etc. It should be interesting to even shoot ammo older than I am and second to compare it to what is available today.

PS Let me know if there is anything you'd like to see me compare for that video - it is currently in the works.

Pretty much everyone does pretty much everything based on their feelings.

Including hunting. I do it largely because I like the "feeling" of hunting.

I do it my way, other people do it theirs. So long as we all follow the law and don't eradicate any game species (and try to kill humanely, IMO) it's all about personal choices at the end of the day.

I can be proud of getting the .22 Hornet out and popping Jacks in the head from 200 yards prone, and I can be proud of getting the Marauder out and open field stalking to within 30 feet to make the same shot standing.

                      Either way, they're cat food.
