Well anyway, it appears that you may be leaving the dark side and are now more concerned about your gun rights. Which is a good thing. Get involved as Robotron said.

And please be careful of who you vote for, when you do, because there are a lot of politicians out there that would like nothing better than to make you a criminal for owning a firearm. For me the 2A in the litmus test as to whom I vote for. For some, even on this forum, the 2A isn’t as important as other social issues. So they vote for those pushing these social issues at the expense of the 2A. That is one of the reasons we are in this mess up to our ears.

Did you value freedom? Did you know any gun owners and value their freedom? This is why ALL gun owners have to come out of the closet. Hiding our status as gun owners only hurts us in the long run. I read OP's exchange with lightcav, which he said he didn't vote. That's both ignorant for not knowing that a law was proposed to infringe on his rights and it was also careless for not doing his civic duty.

In this present day where Democrats and the media have been screaming as loudly as ever for the harshest gun control measures possible, there is literally no excuse to be ignorant of how the left is actively stripping our rights away on a daily basis. You pretty much have to be in a friggin coma or totally disengaged from reality not to know whats going on. Sadly the vast majority of Americans are completely disengaged and simply dont care about their 2A civil rights anymore. They've probably been brainwashed at least to a certain extent not to think it matters. OP is the perfect example of why we are losing. There are thousands of people like OP who could have done something but didnt even care enough to be aware of the issues when they are literally being broadcast 24/7 on all media platforms. Ever heard of Gavin NewSCUM? He spent pretty much all of 2016 screaming hysterically for these gun control laws.
