I work at a California FFL and today one of our local high-ranking deputies let us know that the doj has set up a team for the next 10 months in our area...

And just what area might that be..?!?!

According to a contact into sheriff's dept, they have already filed 15 claims against people and one of them happens to also be a sheriff's deputy as well.

You asked the question I gave the answer. They can also come and do health and welfare checks as well. Will they do that for compliance? Don't know but they can ask you. They go to ranges (Lyttle creek) and do it all the time, no warrants. Cali is so bold now they may just go door to door at this point.
