I tried buying parts at gun shows but they never have any? not even a simple recoil spring or magazine spring for a Browning HP

they dont even sell common Glock recoil springs, you have to get those mail order / internet sales

I also tried to find a Russian dog collar Mosin Nagant sling with no luck, only available on ebay,

they mostly sell the same stuff you find in any retail gun shop but priced higher

People on calguns love to rag on gun shows in so cal. Well we are darn lucky we still have gun shows in CA. We need to support them I will pay my 18 bucks to get in and look around. This is not a good time to not support anything about guns. Nothing good about gun shows going away.

If you don't donate to the American Cancer Society, you don't care about cancer victims.

If you don't donate to the Wounded Warrior Project, you don't care about wounded veterans.

If you don't donate to any other scam charity, you don't care about anything....

While I agree that it would be a shame for gun shows to disappear and the shooting industry more hidden from the public, I have no use for gun shows.

The only ammo I buy is shotgun and 22lr, and I am stocked well enough for now and don't have the money to blow on more of it. My shooting has slowed down and the recoil of 12ga and swinging motion of shooting skeet is problematic for my neck and back issues (haven't tried a recoil pad yet).

For everything else I load my own and cast my own as well. If I need a random part, I get it from the internet. My most recent purchase was a couple more molds, but those had to be ordered direct from the manufacturer. Turners got my business for most of the firearms I purchased, I hate bass pro, and one of the calgunner ffl people would be a likely option for future purchases. Powder and primers are either ordered in bulk with family or friends or from a match director who has a good lead for a little more money than ordering online.

I'm not into social functions or crowds of people and don't have the extra money to blow with many of my bills being due during the first part of the year.

My grandfather took me to the Pomona gun show around the mid 90's and I remember it being huge, but I was a teen and not yet into buying or learning what was available. Instead, I was focused on reloading and shooting my dad's firearms.

I got a text with the same message about the gun show protests. Their meeting is during a weekday afternoon when traffic is high and people are at work. I'm not sure if the time was intentional, but it would sure limit the number of people who could show to support the gun shows.
