5 dollars for parking, 12 dollars for admission. Green tip 5.56 is 45 cents a round before tax. I'm dead.

My FFL I go to charges 5 dollars per shipment from online purchases and the according sales tax per my area. I typically find prices more than 10 cents lower than what the wholesaler from the gun show is asking online at various websites.

But since they suck AND are overpriced, I just go to The Big Reno show once or twice a year.

I go and see friends I’ve known for 30 years plus. Some have passed away but the laughs and stories continue.

Yeah, gun shows in calif are dwindling away but it’s mostly due to the older guys being unable to go or die off. Their kids or grandkids don’t want anything to do with it.

You California boys r really spoiled. Coming from one Liberal state, (NY) to SoCal, i can tell you my own experience. NY gun shows are HORRIBLE!! Visited my first So Cal gunshow, and they sold AR pistols, 10/33 glock mags, and served beer. I felt like a kid in a candy shop. And +1 to the OP... Support what you believe in. Support our right to bear arms. I love seeing my people, pro gun people, talking about thier crazy builds, or how tight thier grouping is.

ps... when is the next local gun show?? hahah

I just went to the one here in Bakersfield. I needed primers, and the primers are cheaper at the gunshow than they are at the LGS. 50% cheaper. So, even with parking and the entry fee I saved money. Lots of money.
Unfortunately, they were already out of the size I needed the most, and I got there 15 minutes after they opened.

I will venture to say that California gun shows are over.

Last Gun Show I attended in California was in the 90s at the Crossroads of the West at Angel Stadium.. It was on two levels. Looking for Chinese AK and SKS parts and parts kits... And walked out with a couple of bags full of Chinese AK mags at $5 a mag.

Waste of time but 20 years ago was fun.

The last time I went to our local show at the fairgrounds there were tables set up with mostly junk thrown on them and some others fairly organized with the majority of prices being twice as much as other places and online.

Don't think I'll waste a day or money for the show and parking for that but you're definitely free to do so.

ammo is still cheaper at WALMART or other retail store

price of admission , gas, parking also count as part of the price

when you ad up how much money you spend to attend the show just to buy some ammo, you really didnt save much at all.

I only buy factory ammo, no reloads or ammo from small ammo business with no long time reputation, better to stick with name brands.

So if it does not benefit you personally to go to a gun show no problem if they go out of business huh.No gun shows, no magazines, no gun stores no problem for you.Maybe one day you will wake up and say WTF happened .
