Yes, it costs to park and more to get in the door. But!

I enjoy them. Always seem to find something I want. I enjoy the "Miracle" product pitchmen and the Santa Maria BBQ Tri Tip sandwiches.

A gun show is just time when a buddy and I can go see and do and get away for a day.

    Cheers

Last couple gun shows I went to in CA was mostly coins, arts & crafts, etc... with a few guns, ammo, reloading stuff tables/booths mixed in here and there. That was 25 or so years ago. Before then mostly all tables/booths had gun related stuff.

I'll go to gun shows just on the off chance that I'll find something I've been looking for. That happened at the last Gardverville, NV gun show, which is about the size of a postage stamp. I picked up a Ruger GP100 Match Champion at a very good price.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and again!
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

I go to see some buddies that have a table when nearby. Look for something i might want. i do not pay for parking or entry because I help them set up. Best deals are before they open to public. Also last day and last hours of the show.
Some sellers do not want to haul back where they came from.

I still go to gun shows when I can and, but I always attend the local one at our fairgrounds. Yes they are not what they used to be, but they are still fun to go to and I like to support the person that sponsors the shows, especially up here. I usually just look for parts and some ammo. I have even bought my wife some of jewelry that they have had there.

i think its funny about those complaining about admission prices yet will pay a grand for a gen 5 glock 19 when they already have a 3rd gen Glock 19. a box of ammo pretty much gets you in, i don't see the harm of keeping a staple of the shooting community open.

                -But its all beef Jerkey
-But its all just kettle corn
                -But its all just XYZ

-But its Open and you can still pick up odd's and ends which make it worth it plus it pisses off the anti's when they see them coming to town and the lines to get in. that alone is worth the price of admission

The Nampa show was pretty good for a small show today.

I went to two gun shows this weekend but not in CA. The Vegas one sucked pretty hard. As for San Bernardino, nope, not paying $14 for parking.

The less gun related activities that are "out there", the closer we get to no gun activities. The less our youth get to see firearms in a normalized setting.

I guess you would also surmise that closing down all the too expensive, crowded, hot and smelly, overpriced reload selling gun ranges down, also would have no effect on our gun rights.

How about all the LGS's? Why not...you can save a few bucks online.

                          You're part of the problem.

I just received this email yesterday from Crossroads of the West.

The Del Mar Fair Board of Directors is being pummeled with local anti-Second Amendment activists demands to close the Crossroads of the West Gun Show at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Please see the link:
Encinitas and Solana Beach are throwing their weight behind a renewed push to ban gun shows from the Del Mar Fairgrounds, with both city councils in the past two weeks following the City of Del Mar’s lead in demanding tighter gun…

We hope you will consider attending the Fair Board meeting on April 24 and show your support, in a positive and affirmative way, for continuing gun shows at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. The board meeting will be held at the Fairgrounds Tuesday at 2 P.M.
If the anti-rights activists succeed in closing the Del Mar Gun Show, all of the other gun shows in the state are at serious risk of closure.
                          Thanks for your support,
                          Bob Templeton,
                          C.EO.

So by your logic we should shop at scummy gun stores because it is our duty to keep them open? GTFOH

Gun shows are no different. I used to go to nearly every gun show there was from Sacramento to Daly City about 8 years ago. They were already on the decline back then but at least you could still find ammo at decent prices. I never was interested in CCW Vests, chi-com optics, knock-off Magpul, tasers or overpriced mil surplus.

The promotors need to improve the shows and the vendors need to be more competitive.

If some of the newly proposed legislation regarding sale of online gun parts passes, it could inject some new life into gun shows.

Gun shows might suddenly be a much better place to get parts for builds, repairs, and mods.

I have only gone to gun shows in Nevada for years.
mostly for parts and rare ammo.

I gave up on calif gun shows as many of the parts sellers do not come to calif shows any more
