How is that Julie Golob did not make her list of votes? Julie G is a perfect fit for the NRA. With her social media presence, great personality, outstanding qualifications and accomplishments in the firearm industry, and the fact that she is attractive and very well spoken, she would be an excellent spokes person for gun rights.
If I had to describe myself in one word it would be "bad at following directions"

Well, the following Anti Gun people & Organizations would agree with
your derogatory statement (which is false, btw) regarding the NRA:

        Brady Campaign
        Everytown
        Bloomberg
        Soros
        Joyce Foundation
        Democrat National Committee
        Schumer
        Pelosi
        Feinstein

Do you get paid by any of them to smear the NRA ?

Do you even belong to ANY Pro 2nd Amendment Organization ?

Since its rather clear your Not a Voting Member of the NRA, we really don't
care what you think, because its laughable that you think your smarter
than the Millions of NRA members who support the 2nd Am.

Look up , you appear to be suffering from it.

Please tell me how it's false? If the NRA is so successful at what it does then why are we in the situation we are in here in California? Gun control keeps them funded because people like you just blindly throw money at them hoping something will change.

You're saying that I am of low ability and I see my self as morally superior? You seem to think you are superior because you are part of these groups. To me it's irrelevant what other people do because I can only control what I do.

I fail to see how being a member gains me anything in the way of my rights other than being able to gloat about my membership to people on the internet.

There have been wins... maybe you don’t remember all the threats and bans we’ve been up against. Who do you think helped us out of those? Brown? Harris?

By all means, crawl back into your little hole and do nothing, while you waive your judgemental finger. Whilst the rest of us spend a few measly bucks every year to help “try” to save everyone’s 2A.

By your quoted words, you’ve already given up. If that’s where you are in your life, that’s sad... but its your problem, not mine. Don’t worry, the NRA has people behind them not willing to give up, and you may benefit from it regardless.

You are either being deliberately disingenuous, or your
                Painfully Ignorant.

The NRA was major factor in giving us a Pro 2nd Amendment President,
and Trump appointing Pro Gun Neil Gorsuch to SCOTUS was a major win
for the 2nd Amendment, as opposed to Hillary, who would have put a
Anti Gun Ginsburg Clone on SCOTUS and commenced with her plan
to Nullify the 2nd Amendment out of existence.

                That Alone justifies the NRA.

Trump has continued to appoint Judges on the lower courts that actually
support the Constitution, as opposed to the Ideological Left Wing Clowns
                that dominate the 9th Circus.

As far as "our situation in California".... Have you ever had a Civics Class ?
Let me explain it to you with this simple graph:

                California Oct-2016 Voter Registration:

Anti Gun Democrats Voters dominate California, and continue to support
                Gun Control.

Which leads me to my next point about "our situation in California"...

                YOU are to Blame.

Do Nothing people like yourself, who sit back and blame everyone else
for their own failings to do anything. If most of the California gun owners
banded together and joined the NRA, giving us 7 million More Informed
Members in Calif alone, Anti Gun Politicians would have a Lot Tougher Fight
on their hands, instead of today's Rubber Stamping of Infringements.

Despite your lack of contributions, and others of your ilk, the NRA continues
to fight for ALL Californians 2nd Amendment Rights:

NRA and CRPA California Legal Affairs Report (January 2018)

But you go ahead and cling to your Anti NRA Dogma which Bloomberg
approves of, maybe he will reward you with your Thirty Pieces of Silver.

I was speaking in terms of general conservatism however, the FOPA 1986 was a compromise, depending on your perspective a good one or a terrible. On one hand it strove to protect individuals from the vagaries of the ATF, on the other hand it stopped the production of machine guns for civilian use. However I;ll point out, it did not BAN MG's but it certainly jacked their prices up astronomically. The needs of the many overrode the needs of the few?
So he (IMO) sacrificed MG's to protect individuals, give us back interstate long gun sales and mail order ammo AND he got that through a Democrat controlled House and Senate.
Anti-gun? I don't think so but given that Reagan himself was shot and his friend was turned into a semi-vegetable by that same shooter, I think Reagan kept a pretty even keel on the whole gun control issue.
