    NRA coup?

What the hell is going on at the NRA right now with ex-President Marion Hammer having some issues with people on this year’s ballots for the board. Her letter sounds like she’s Mattis on steroids with her tactical words and military speak, did she even proof read it before sending it out? Why won’t she mention names and point out the seditious factions trying to worm their way onto the board. Or is this just another power fight since we don’t have a common national enemy targeting the 2A (at the moment)?

One of the guys who was nominated by the signature process has a website and explains his position rather clearly in my view, seems as though he wants to return power to the regular guy in regards to the NRA board. He pointed out Hammer was anti-bump stock and was willing to negotiate our rights, AGAIN, after the LV shooting.

Read the letter Hammer "wrote" here…
Right now, a group of agitators have already quietly worked their way onto the NRA Board and others are now actively trying to get elected to the NRA Board.

Every 20 years or so they experience a pivotal moment in the organization. Back in ’77 they were dragged kicking and screaming from an organization that wanted to focus on hunting and competition shooting to becoming an activist lobby. THEY DIDN’T WANT TO! THE “OLD GUARD” WERE CONTENT TO LEAVE THE STATUS QUO.
In 1997 they had another coming to Jesus meeting when they started capitulating with the Clinton Admin about certain gun laws and they were useless in the fight for the 2A for a few years until they got their act together at the end of the 90’s.

The fight goes on, the war never ends. We may win battles here and there but we will never be totally secure. The price for liberty is eternal vigilance, I forgot who said that but it’s the damn truth.

My personal thoughts are some may be trying to be put into a position to sway things within the NRA> Always question someones motives and agendas when promoting them to such positions.

Infiltrate, exaggerate and dismantle, this tactic is as old as time.

i wouldn't be surprised at double agents so to speak from the anti-gun side trying to worm their way to the top of the NRA board.

I've found this quite interesting in how much time hammer is putting into trying to stop this outsider aka Adam kraut. He's a lawyer that's quite active in the firearms industry, he's part of a YouTube,Facebook, web group that I've learned quite a bit from especially making gun laws less confusing. I highly doubt he's a sleeper gun controller.

i was speaking on a general terms.

the flip side is maybe the current members are anti-gun plants? i mean think about it, if all of a sudden due to the overwhelming control of the 3 branches of government by more conservative or at least more practical people decided to strike down a lot of the nonsense gun laws what would happen to the NRA?

as a lobbying organization, they would lose membership which translates to losing money. the NRA thrives on pending gun laws, cause it drives membership numbers, AKA money, into their coffers.

without a Hillary or Feinstein lurking in the shadows, the NRA will be reduced to a shell of what it is. I mean just look at gun sales now with Trump in office. the lowest in years since there is no danger federally of any new gun laws. if Hillary had won, you can bet right now there would be shortages in ammo and guns.

              I'm voting the Hammer list.
I liked what she did as President of the NRA and I will follow her lead here.

Boys and girls, welcome to the wacky economics of trade associations.

Be careful what you ask for (conservatives in control of the Federal government) because as someone pointed out, without a common enemy the organization will start eating itself.

She calls them "agitators." There's always agitators, malcontents and plain ol' angry contrarians. Most are dudes who eat up the "NRA concedes too much" line, mostly played by "alternative" groups vying for a share of the $$$ pie. Then there's the good ol' boy, hunter, Zumbo crowd. I won't play into their narcissistic BS, personally.

In the past the smart California move has been to put all your votes towards California members. Mostly Joel Friedman. I notice though, he's listed at Henderson, NV now. I'll probably throw all in for Kim Rhodes this year. Don't know anything about Cain.

                      5. Dean Cain, Malibu, California
                      9. Joel Friedman, Henderson, Nevada
                      19. Kim Rhode, Big Bear Lake, California
C.D. Michel should run for the board. That would be a solid for CA.

And truthaboutguns is seeming more and more, to me, like regular ol' sh1t stirrers. From various articles they put out, including this one. WTF is this author that I care about his opinion on NRA elections?

Adam Kraut is definitely not an anti-gun sleeper cell. If anything he's the best option. It's time to drain the swamp.

The more I research the issue the more I’m drawing the conclusion that the old established guard has become lax in its fight for the 2A.
Hammer’s response to the bump-fire issue was ludicrous, and it seems she wants to compromise to make the NRA look more “user friendly”.
Hell, even Charlton Heston was caught saying, AK47’s were inappropriate for civilian use, or something to that effect, ON PUBLIC RADIO NO LESS. We sacrificed Zumbo and Metcalf when they got too full of themselves and tried to compartmentalize gun owners; (I’m holier than thou for I shoot a bolt action, no one needs a black rifle for hunting!)
This Kraut fellow seems like the real deal, a regular guy who’s tired of the gun culture getting a smaller piece of the pie. Maybe it’s time to get some fresh blood in the board. I understand the need for the celebrity members but the organization seems to be getting too big of a collective head among the higher ups.
Now more than ever we need to stand our ground and not give. They already took too much.
