Is ammo in AZ or NV such an incredible deal and so much cheaper that it makes driving to those states worth the bother?? A round trip to Reno would take me 13 hours and cost $150 in gas let alone the wear and tear.

Which at this point, better to save that $150 and put it towards the licensing costs of getting an FFL3 + COE. Then boom, online orders aplenty!

I make the drive weekly as I have a house in Carson Valley. I have never been asked for id to buy standard caps or ammo yes Cabela's and Sportmans's ask for zip for marketing thats all. Frist thing I bought when We bought the house was a surefire 60 it will never come back to ca with me and I have never used it just had to have it. I have ca ammo and NV ammo, I did stock up in ca before the first.

I have been told on multiple occasions by different employees at Scheels that they only ask for ID for guns. They don't ask for ID for magz, auto knives or nunchucks.

DOJ found a loophole. You can bring in outside ammo purchases, as long as it's delivered to an FFL or ammo vendor first.

If the CHP finds ammo they suspect was brought in from out of our dictatorship they will file charges and confiscate the "evidence".

Then you get to attempt to prove a negative in court, that it wasn't brought in from out of state. Good luck with that unless you have all the reciepts, etc. So much for the state proving a case against you, you must prove your case against them. Guilty until proved innocent.

Good luck getting your confiscated ammo back even if aquitted. Heller and McDonald was a paper loss for us here, one still can't buy a handgun in NYC and zero clarifications have been issued by that checked-out supreme court.

Yes, they are officially afraid of 2nd amendment cases, they are done with us.

With "no controlling legal authority" nothing here can be done. Now we all know what the Founders put up with from King George.

Where you bringing in fruits? I can't imagine you not being able to say no to the search.

We did not have any fruits or vegetables, we've done this enough to know...they were concerned about some firewood...I never thought to decline to be searched. I think it was a training practice.

Now the one on I-80 this past June I'm not sure. Was two guys and they poked around, asking questions, opening containers, etc.

As for coming in from another country (Canada) I don't think you have a choice.

Just have your wife, by the ammo and give it to you in the parking lot.
Then drive back. Kept reciept with her credit card info on it to prove she bought it and gave it to you.
