Can you just pour in the ammo in containers and discard the packaging, how would they know where the ammo was purchased. There is no law that prohibit going to ranges out of state.

I agree, to a point. The limited cost savings by themselves probably wouldn't make it worth the trouble and gas money.

However, if Garen Wintemute and his band of merry gun prohibitionists ever start doing those "sting" operations again at Nevada gun stores/shows, I'd love to just waste their time and money, and it'd be worth my time and money to do so. Every penny they spend on this effort is a penny they don't spend on cooking up more bunk science to justify further gun control.

I wouldn't do anything illegal, of course. I'd do everything under the full protection and authorization of the law. Once I get pulled over, the first document I'm handing over is my 03 FFL. The second document I'm handing over is my COE. Then the third document I'm handing over is a sheet of paper with this printed on it:

To spice things up a bit, I'd consider variations on this common theme - purchase a token amount of ammo in California, save the receipts, go out of-state, visit a gun store, and return.

Oh, sorry. This ammunition? It was purchased in California. Try again.

I know we say we shouldn't poke the bear, and I generally agree with that if it's a privilege that the bear has the discretion of granting or denying. This is a different kind of bear, and the more pissed off it gets, the more fun I'm having.

Gavin Newsom is a lying, cheating slickster and will be is the worst mistake California has ever made if he gets now that he has been elected Governor. Hollywood movie producers look to him and his oleaginous persona as a model for the corrupt "bad guy" politician character. This guy is so greasy, he could lubricate an entire arsenal of AR-15s just by breathing on them.

Not that it's cheaper. But when your gambling and winning. If you win enough for a case of ammo, go buy a case.
Cash in your winning football tickets and buy a few cases of ammo.

Drive to NV or AZ for ammo? You have to buy a lot to be worth while.

Cabelas asks for a phone number or zip code on all sales. I tell them no, but I haven't bought any mags. I cant imagine they are looking for CA residents. It's not illegal for CA residents to buy Hi Cap Mags in NV. It's illegal to bring them into CA.

The cashiers at Cabelas are not on the CA DOJ Pre Crime Unit payroll.

Be ware it now is illegal to bring ammunition into this State. It does not matter if it was bought inside Californication. You take a chance of loosing your right to own guns at all

Pick a neighborhood in some local town, give them that zip code and area code.

Really??? You are aware it is a INFRACTION for the first offense. Not sure how that equates to loosing your right to own guns.

Were those rounds still in the factory boxes, or did you bend over and use a funnel with some oil?

Of course they were loose, don't be ridiculous.

Brings new meaning to "squeezing off a few rounds." Remember your keister control protocols and just "press, reset, press, reset, etc."
