Oh dang, probably hurt just as bad.

At one time I had a 1-4x scope on my rifle for a time. Got used to resting my left hand on top of it while shooting from the bench. Took it off and bought a magpul pro rear iron sight. Went to the range to sight in and instinctively rested my hand on top of my upper with my fingers resting on the exhaust ports of the bolt carrier. Blew my finger open. Not bad enough for stitches since super glue fixed it up, but bad enough to get me to leave the range early.

It is an evil feature and classifies a rifle into an AW on 1-1-18.

        Registration deadline is 7-1-18.

AW limitations such as transport restriction start 1-1.

Awesome you were able to finish your matches! Lucky he had a kit! I like a dummy forgot my med kit in my truck so I wrapped my finger in gauze and glued it when I got home haha.

Cool. If you look at what I replied to, I was addressing the dates.

I’ll leave the full AW featureless dissertation to you. Enjoy.

AW limitations such as transport restriction start 1-1-2017.
The registration window, as codified in the law and DOJ regulations, provides ONLY for an exemption on mere possession.
It is not a "grace period"...
Nobody is claiming that importation is still legal, nor is anyone saying that you can legally build a featured rifle with a bullet button today. That's because the law.... ALL of them.... went into effect last January.
That includes locked storage for transportation, specific destination requirements, prohibition on lending, or possession by a person under 21.
All RAW laws apply today to "BBAWs", registered or not.

No, it is not being enforced, not actively at least, and probably won't be actively enforced next year or the year after, just as it is rare for people with AWs registered in 2001 to be checked at the range.

Pointless to argue over the Internet. My bad.

What's funny about that? From 1994-2004, it was an evil feature anywhere in the US.

Say, the upper and lower are stored separately (not attached), instead a .22LR upper is attached to the 556 lower with BB - is it still considered illegal?
