      That's easy.

This is only one way,but I practiced with dummy rounds before going out with live ones.

      Just in case.

Sure enough my son's friend somehow got one in the chamber and another ready to feed-while dicking around with the charging handle instead of just hitting the paddle.

I dropped floorplate off mag-caught rounds-jacked live one out-popped the follower & spring back in and floorplate on and handed him another speedloader and said" whatever you just did don't do it again!"

      Super simple.

People are making WAY to big a deal about double feeds.

      Like-"My God-what will ever I do if I get a malfunction!"

If you use your head-1-not derping and causing the problem in the first place(double feeds are most often operator induced), and 2- plan/learn/even practice what to do if one occurs...it ain't rocket science.

All guns can malfunction, and it's not like a fixed mag rifle is something that hasn't been around awhile.

That being said, perhaps a fixed mag AR isn't for everyone.

Mine is in the safe right next to my featureless, and BB'd(most likely soon to be RAW) guns.

There is more than one way to skin a cat.

That is actually true, well it was. Way back when with the federal AW ban bayonet lug's were evil feature's.

The new AW laws went into effect 1-1-2017
AW must be registered prior to 7-1-2018, but all other AW laws apply TODAY.

I've heard so much I could write a book on it I mainly have learned to tune it out. All I really generally need from a gun shop clerk is to show me the gun and process the DROS I generally don't need advice on a gun or what to buy.

I was told recently by one clerk that actual CCW laws don't matter only what cops think the law is. Seriously.

Lol, no. Pinky got in the way when I sent the bolt home at the start of a match (sight in period). See post 96:
