I've seen plenty of 500's localy and I might have to go that route but I was hopping for a 870.

A friend has this one for his Serbu Super Shorty AOW. Not sure where he got it.


SBSD would not let him add it (AOW) to his CA LTC permit.

I wonder if I can add it to my 1yr. National ccw permit (LEOSA). We have to fire 10 rounds for the qualifier, so maybe one shot of whatever shotgun round that has at least 10 pellets. I'd be done in one.

UPDATE.

Thanks to our dearest member Damiiaaannn, I was able to fill out the Form 1 and it was sent in on 02/14/208. I got a call today from the ATF while driving. I nearly crashed. Anyway, he wanted clarification on the model number, and said I forgot to write the date on one of the pages.

Also strange, he said just to make sure, he wanted pictures of the shotgun as it sits now. I explained to him that I have not modified it in any way, but would gladly send him the pictures. He explained that this is the tail end of the process, and I should be done shortly pending approval.

I read that the process is 16-18 weeks, so that's so far fairly accurate.

Heads up, I got my Form 1 back today, and it has been approved, so yeah, their estimates for time are accurate. Good luck to those going through the process! I'm going to be calling Safety Harbor for shipping today.

I'm waiting for my 2nd stamp to come back, I'm still probably 6-8 weeks out.

I'll be buying the new Tac-14 DM soon and turn that into an AOW also, they look really good with the detachable mag.

No, I called them twice today, but no answer. I left one message, but figured they were too busy either way.

I'd like to get one with DM also, but would that be applying for Form 4 instead of Form 1 since it's already a 14 inch barrel?

Yeah, that's what I was going to say, they're really bad about answering phones. Try calling as soon as they open, and call multiple times in a row if they don't answer.

No, it'll be a Form 1. It'd have to be shipped to a 3rd party out of state first to either have the barrel removed or have a 18.5" barrel put on instead. Then have it shipped to your FFL in CA. Then the process would be exactly the same.

My friend just talked to them the other day.

They definitely need to work on their customer service. My only advice is to keep calling and emailing.
