So i've already broken the 650!!!
Thats how much brass i've been processing. To be fair it didn't break like the RCBS. The RCBS shell plate advancer was just the weak link in that whole system.
With the 650 a fluke happened where a spent primer got lodged in the shell plate advancer and it got locked up and snapped in half.
Called Dillon the next day and they're sending out the replacement. Anyway...at least I can give my arm a rest. the 650 has been on constant run since I bought it.MESSAGE ME FOR ARMAGLOCK COUPON CODES!!!!

I got a Dillion 550 for pistol reloading. Then I bought some dies for 308, but now I realize a single stage press for the precision loads.
I guess I'm doing it backwards.Comment

Some inaccurate info or assertions above.
If you pick up your brass and reuse:
44 Mag costs from $.50 to $.90 I reload for $.16
357 Maximum costs $2.00 ea I reload for $.15
9mm costs $.19 This is pretty close to cost. No reloading for me.
38/357mag cost from $.30 to $.50 Reloads for $.13
You can run a progressive press one stage at a time.
You have 4 stages set up in that Dillion 550 and can treat each of them as a single stage.
A single stage is not better. It does not give you any more safety or accuracy. It is cheaper. You must pay attention in this hobby, no matter what tools you use.Last edited by lostinsurf; 11-17-2017, 1:19 PM.Comment
