Doubt you'd be so flippant about it when an actual National Guardsman or cop comes to your door.

Be sure to ask your doctor if depression, rectal bleeding, and suicide are right for you.

In the United States a person's expertise on a subject is inversely proportional to their knowledge of the subject: The less they know about something, the more they become an expert on it.

When they do come a knocking, you either comply or resist. Damn that would be one ugly scenario.
I highly doubt this would happen with local or state cops in California. Feds have better things to do and would not waste their time with this.

This would never happen in the first place, regardless of whom orders it. The feds won't enforce it and local cops would be more at risk.

                  It could get very ugly.

Prepare to be labeled a "home grown terrorist" for any refusal.

^^^ I guess I will just add this to the "deplorable" label I got last year. Will wear it with pride.

Hurricane K was a different animal altogether.
That action was to disarm the derelicts of society. Whether one agrees with what happened or not. It was without a doubt or contention that the confiscation was a racist action perpetrated by all colors.
Ain't it funny (alarming) that when "S" REALLY goes down, Liberal attitudes are thrown out the window. By the liberals first!
And yes, some of the poorest white people also got their guns taken. Emphases on Poorest.

Exactly. Would you really battle it out with a CNG with your family in the house?

If the BIG ONE hits in California there will be 163,696 sq miles for law enforcement and emergency services to deal with. This would be a statewide emergency. Very little of California would be unaffected. Now compare this with the square miles affected my Katrina, 90,000. I don't think there will be time for them to pull the same thing they did in New Orleans; with the exception of the high population areas, maybe.

In fact, most LEO's I've spoken to about the topic have said they will (and even some chiefs have echoed the sentiment) outright refuse any such order.
