If youtube is his only source of income then he's doing it wrong. It should only be a side gig IMO. Most of the channels that I watch only use youtube to promote their actual business.

I would hope that isn't the case. The top youtube personalities crush most television ratings, even the top gun channels kill daytime TV. If we want to see the best content I'd hope Google can compensate these folks accordingly. We certainly aren't going to see gun shows on the television any time soon, youtube is our strongest media presence.

I have watched some of his stuff when I google around on reviews. He takes the time, gives a honest opinion, and actually does a descentyjob on reviews. I like that he is a family guy, and he seems like a contributing member of society.
Seems to me that he personally buys a majority of the stuff he reviews, that can't be cheap.

Sure, he seems a bit anal and particular, but he is doing a well enough job to get a following. But of course, all the hardcore operators on Cal guns are going to attack his credibility and character.

If you can do a better job, have at it, and wait for the elite on calguns to shame you for your efforts.

Hickok45 is my go to for a review of something I am interested in.

Honestly, as someone who experienced some pretty high level training in firearms in military service I don't have a problem with it. As long as there is a defined course of fire that objectively measures results it's darn good training in my book. The best shots I've ever met never served, they shoot ground squirrels at 200+ yards on hot windy days.

I like that he takes the guns out and puts them through garbage conditions and seems to run them as hard and fast as he can even when it's a Savage kid's rifle. Unlike every other youtube reviewer that never has anything at all critical to say about the gun they got from a sponsor.

Nutnfancy is not particularly knowledgeable about shooting or gear, but he thinks he is. There isn't any reason why a former Air Force cargo pilot who shoots in desert washes with his son would have any insight into shooting, tactics or gear. His target audience are people who are even less knowledgeable.

for a guy who wasn't knowledgeable as you say, he made a good amount of money doing reviews. From LL Bean to Blue Force all paid him top dollar.

Nutnfancy's videos are nothing but hour long videos of opinionated non-sense with fillers in between. He lost any credibility when he made his SR-15 video claiming that a Smith & Wesson M&P-15 is just as good as without any mention of the proprietary designs that went in to the SR-15. Also 1/100th of every single video is only technical data.

all i know is that NF does more Run-n-Gun to review 1 gun than I have done in 5 years of shooting.

the downfall of living in Socal and BLM spots that are way too far to go for a day of shooting.

Literally no one is butthurt. There is a difference between appreciating videos that provide opinion based on technical data and scientific evaluation and herp derp videos made by some budget bill using 3 shot groupings as a basis of scientific evidence.
