Only owning two guns

Yes I was a poor kid. Almost all my money I earned working went into my livestock that I showed.
BUT I did not do the same for my daughter. I started her shooting when she was 4.5 years old and by the time she was 6 she had a 22RF pistol, Two 22RF rifles, A 257Roberts, A 9mm pistol. Then she got where she wanted to claim some of my firearms for herself. I told her she would have to wait until I was gone for them.
In High School she had more firearms than her boyfriend. Before she got married she had been to Africa hunting.
Now I have a grand-daughter who will be 2 on Sat and she already has two 22RF Rifles and I am going to build her a 257Roberts also.

I have only a glock 19 and a PSA AR15.
I feel pretty secure in that right now, although I would like to add an 870 to the mix.

I had a friend who owned multiple high-end pistol and rifle. Unfortunately, he never trained or thought that he needed too. Finally, he was robbed and realize he couldn't hit the robber once with multiple shots fire off. The robber stumbles many times, bounce back and ended up firing 3 rounds back. My friend was shot in the shoulder close to the neck.

While he was hospitalized, he told himself that he was going to sell all his guns and keep just two. He trained very hard on those two guns. Now he is just waiting for another robbery or burglary.

No, if you use firearms regularly, you need more than two

if something breaks on your rifle, your long gun will be out of service until it can be repaired depending on what breaks?

same could happen to your handgun, what if something broke on your carry concealed piece? then you wouldnt have a back up until the other one gets repaired

my front site broke off on my M1911A1, and the plunger tube also fell off a month later, I had to bring it in for a new front site, and ordered a staking tool to install a new plunger tube, if that was my only handgun, thats why you need a back up or more than one handgun.

As to actually answer the OP,

Ive always heard it as, "fear the man who brings only one gun"

Which implies he has more, but also has the knowledge and skill to only need to bring one

nope I believe variety is the spice of life. also it took me a long time to find what I liked best. I'm still on the search for something I like better. also I subscribe to the philosophy of being fairly proficient with a lot of things rather than super proficient with just a few.

I have to damn near run away from Sig 220s at work. I love that platform and the Combat is the eye catcher but I just saw the legion.....

Life is short...treat yourself to a new blaster.

This. As I said before, guns are small, hold their value and require very little maintenance.
