Long time lurkers here. We originally intended our first calguns post to be an introductory post. We apologize for the poor etiquette. We suppose that can always happen later.

To the OP, we're sorry your first experience in our shop wasn't a positive one for you. We meant no disrespect to you or other members of our 2A community. Normally, we would have referred you to another local FFL who could better suit your needs. We dropped the ball here. We're glad UG Imports stepped up. We've heard great things about them. We've sent many folks in their direction and we're confident they'll take very good care of you. If it were another state, I'd be in agreement. Because California requires all sales to go through a FFL, this restricts the market and thus I do not believe that anyone who has a business should be able to refuse legal transactions due to moral beliefs on hunting (or the flip side- tactical weapons).

If you're a FFL, as long as the transaction is legal and the buyer isn't raising any red flags, process the damn transaction and help another Californian support the 2A.

You stated it was a tactical store, but not good for hunting. That's an easy fix, don't go there for your sporting rifle needs.

In this instance I would not have outed the business since, as presented here, it was non-adversarial, and it was as simple as they did not do that kind of business. You didn't loose money, you were not jerked around, nothing bad happened to you.

Seems to me they were up front and honest with you about the type of business they did.

OP, there are a bunch of nice LGS's around that would accommodate you, and you picked the wrong one for wrong reasons. I think it's your mistake: It's even in their store name. I mean, it doesn't say "guns and fishing", but has the word "lingerie". [emoji848]Takes guts to open a store with a name like that--maybe he thought You were trolling Him! Lol!
Store guy also was polite but firm. It's clear on yelp. Go spend your money at a store that does business for you, but maybe call ahead and do some research on websites/yelp/Facebook.

This isn't on the store owners. Hopefully, this thread gives that store some good business and free advertising. [emoji28]

How is this any different from an FFL who is LEO only, Or the one on my street who only does custom work for the military.

Besides why should anyone have to give up their rights just because they live in California? You sound like an Anti.
