No one shoots revolvers anymore

I love to shoot my "lettered" 1948 S&W .38 M&P (Pre-Mod 10), especially with it's new Tyler T-Grip. You'll never have a misfeed with this one...

Since there seems to be quite a few wheel gun lovers on this thread, let me ask, is the .41 mag the most underrated round? 30 years ago a friend of mine told me he carries a .41 mag as a back up when hunting. He claimed the round was more accurate and had more torque than a .44 mag. He also said the round would penetrate a Boar's skull, no problem. Just curious.

I am planning on buying my friends 5-6" barreled Webley Revolver in.455/converted to take 45ACP in moon clips...AND it was made in 1916/17. Bad *** revolver, always liked the top break ones!
Finish is kind of like a buish purple? It is pretty damn accurate BUT it is ALMOST impossible to do any smooth shooting in DA,pull is WAYYYYYY HEAVY. Usually do SA shooting with it.

Now all i need is a Schofield replica.....

I just bought another one thats two this week, the first is a Ruger KRH-444 44 mag with a 4" barrel, and I just bought tonight right here on Calguns the smith and Wesson Mountain 625 Long Colt with the 4" barrel.

Since this is thread for revolver shooters.... tell me something. I have bought used SW this site....... 4" Model 13....

And I shoot it to the right. I am not a great shot, however I don't have this problem with my autos. Basically at 7 yards it groups ( pretty nicely, actually) about couple inches to the right. It also seems that lighter rounds ( 125 gr ) shoot MORE to the right.

What say you - do is it me, or I have bough a lemon?

Going with a right handed shooter and a double action trigger pull, I’d guess it might be your grip or your trigger finger placement/pull (or both).

For a double action trigger pull I use the first joint of my finger vs. the pad of my finger on a pistol.

When pulling the trigger, do not squeeze your whole hand. Contracting your entire hand could tend to pull your wrist backwards (which for a right handed shooter would be to the right) and provide a little thumb push which could account for the tendency you are seeing.

There are shooting charts like this one online that you can look at that might help too.

Be sure the grips you have help you place the correct part of your finger on the trigger. Practice, practice, practice. Dry practice with good quality snap caps would be a very good thing. Focus on the fron tsight, and follw through, keeping your focus on the front sight through the hammer fall and after.

Got a 625JM recently. Man, is this thing a shooter. Makes me look like an expert. 8" plate at 50 yd is no problem shot after shot. I can't do it with most of my semis. I got rid of a 1911 to fund the 625. Best decision I made. Going to buy a 686 this week. I'm hooked.

Yeah, I don't see a whole lot of revolvers out and about at the
range - a few, but not a lot. Just got my first wheelgun last year:



A new S&W M22 with a 4" barrel - a fun little beast to shoot.
