Forget Transporting guns on planes in CA

Although FAA controls air transportation, the airports are controlled by state and local authorities. California will once again "lead the way" and ban air transport of private firearms through airports. Also any former military that seek treatment for PTSD will become non permitted persons in CA. A made for politics event. DeLeon and Newscum will be all over this.
If you find yourself in a fair fight, you're doing it all wrong.

Oh yeah. Count on it. I doubt laws will change anywhere else except maybe NY.

Is this a 'free floating anxiety' or do you have a particular event or announcement in mind?

Yeah no. They may try, but since it would deal with interstate commerce, and transportation feds take charge.

Anyone can access the bagage claim area, you can drive right in and park, grab your gun out of the car and walk right into the bagage claim area. You don't need to check a gun and ammo to get a firearm into that area. A ban on the ability to check a firearm on a plane would not stop someone from copying the events in Florida...

There was no TSA or armed security near luggage claims that thought it particularly odd when they saw him unlocking a firearm case?

Dropped my cable channels so what did he use as his snackbar of choice?

First report I saw said he retrieved his bag went to the men's room, and stared shooting when he came out.

Unfortunately I tend to agree with OP.

Now that some a-hole psycho has flown across the country with a gun, and subsequently used that gun in the airport, flying with guns will become a taboo thing. The left won't care about his mental condition, they only care about the appearance. After all, banning all guns everywhere (except for their own and that of their security detail) is the goal.

Honestly, I'm wondering if the douchebag is mental, or a liberal...oh, wait...they're one in the same.
                    Sorry, not sorry.

Never bring logic to a gun control fight. This can and will be sold as "why do you NEEED to take loaded guns onto planes?!?!?!?!??"

Trump will restore sanity and logic. All will be fine.

Not going to happen. Maybe some new way of claiming your checked firearm in CA airports but not an outright ban.
