I applied it meticulously to my AR's and semi auto handguns per the instructions.

Ran a combat course on a warm day with my M-4 and HK USP 45. Both seized. Took them apart and they were both as dry as can be on the parts that needed to be slick (BCG and Slides). Both triggers were sluggish from the onset.

Not sure what else to say or why you need pictures of this? I assume some guns will run fine if you apply it right before shooting, but everyone on here realizes that's not a luxury you have when you really need your guns to work.

Hmm, really odd. I like pictures because they can tell more about what's going on. I wish i was close to you because I would clean your gun and lube it for you (free of charge) and tell you to try again.

What does frog lube do for anyone that clp doesnt? Even if it works perfectly if you follow the instructions, why use something that gums up the works if you use it "wrong"? Why use anything that gums up the action under any circumstances?

Why? Technology! Do you use a flip phone, rotary landline or a smart phone? Do you wear a belt or a rope around your waist or overalls like in 1920? There's always room for improvement.

Ive used the stuff and I would use again. If applied right it works great.

I don't feel like frog lube is a "snake oil" product. I hear people say their guns get "gummed up". That's has to be because they use way to much. I've never seen a "gummed up" gun from frog lube. I've seen it from Tetra grease 3 times. It's more run what works for you, and frog lube for the past 5 years have never given me any issues nor any customers that I have had. The paste acts differently from the liquid, maybe the peeps who have "gummed up" guns can use the liquid instead? Your thumbnail is about as much frog lube as I put on a firearm. That's all it needs.

If a flip phone worked well, while smart phones required you to stand in a bucket of water to complete a call, id still use a flip phone.

Smart phones give me internet, gps apps, and a great camera i didnt have in a flip phone. Those are distinct advantages i didnt enjoy with a flip phone.

Frog lube is a lube. So os clp. Clp hasnt failed me, or anyone i know of, in the forty or so years ive known about it. What does frog lube do that would make me want to try it?

Again, what does frog lube do that clp doesnt? Claiming frog lube is "newer" isnt a reason, by itself, to adopt it.

Newer and BETTER is why we move from corded to cordless to cell phones.

The possibility that it gums up your weapon if not used precisely as it needs to be applied, to me, is a major drawback.

The question for me was, "What's a nontoxic, pleasant smelling firearm CLP that cleans, lubes, and protects?"

Works fine for me so far.

Grease is a different animal. I dont grease my firearms with any grease product except for my garand and my m1a, both of which call for grease. Substituting a type of lube, grease for oil, is not advised.

I get pleasant smelling, although lots of effective cleaners, in general, stink.

This coming from a guy who mixed a Hoppes bottle and a coors banquet beer chubbie bottle and took a large pull before realizing something was very wrong.

Froglube has worked for me. If you don't like it, don't use it. Is it better than everything else? No. Does it magically do something different to your firearms? No. For me it was simply easier to apply. Others say its more difficult. But not for me. The big thing with me personally is I got tired of getting migraines using Hoppe's.

I really like Mobil 1 for lubrication, but I noticed when cleaning the bolt on the AR was so much easier after using FL, I stopped using Mobil 1. That's just me. Use whatever works for you.

EDIT: I forgot to say that I don't use FL as a cleaner. I have tried it as a cleaner, but it's much cheaper to use dish washing liquid or simple green for me.

Never heard of issues with CLP cept it kinda starts to run out if you gun gets hot. But other than that, nope, haven't heard of any issues. I don't frequent here a lot to really see these frog lube posts. But I agree that grease works best for the m1 and garand.

Nontoxic, because I don't want to touch motor oil or some other filthy chemicals when I touch the gun, then inadvertently touch my face or mouth afterward. Don't want it staining my clothes either.

^This. It leaves a slippery film inside the barrel too so the crap inside the barrel comes out easily after couple passthroughs with a boresnake.

As i was swallowing the hoppes, i got the sensation of "this isnt as cold as last time."

Followed almost instantly by "so this is what gasoline tastes like".

The oily, pertroleum taste lingered for at least a couple days.

No other adverse reaction except now i really like to argue on the internet.
