Those of us that have Scars 17 can hope it goes that high. Lol.. If it does I would sell mind also!! But I am not too sure if anybody would pay that much even for a Scar.

Is this a joke or is this really the going price now? 2 months ago I saw a SCAR for 3000 at Ammo Bros riverside. Now I see these fools on the marketplace trying to get 5500 for one. Are people really that crazy to buy a single firearm at such a ridiculous price when youre either gonna have to register it as AW or nueter the crap out of it to make it featureless? Im sorry but I can wait until I move to the United States again.

With that statement, are people who buy Shelby GT350R mustangs fools for paying $3000 over sticker? It's a buyers market, don't like/afford the price? Simply move on.

Sign me up.

You can unregister your firearm once it's registered. You can simply move out of state and notify the DOJ and they will unregister it for you. I believe you can also turn the rifle featureless and unregister. Choice is yours. Plus, anybody who buys a Scar 17s for $5000+ is not looking to sell it. They are looking to keep, especially when dropping a fat coin on it.

In all seriousness, I've never thought of passing my cars on. And they're all worth more than 5 g's.

I wouldn't buy a SCAR just because I don't see value in it over 2800, for myself.

That said, hey, if you want it, I've seen guys piss away more money in a year just owning a boat. It's not a total loss, you can always sell it out of state.

To be sure, on the next production run, it'll sell no where near that. The Jan 1 deadline is causing the cash rich to panic. It's now or never. Anyone who thinks that buyers are victims, is so wrong. It probably a 3rd if not 10th rifle.

They want the look, and think it will make them look cool, just like how some people want a certain car because it will make them look cool. Accuracy and functionality has nothing to do with it. I think it's stupid to spend that much money just to try to look cool in front of other people, but some folks need the self esteem boost.

I am selling a JP Enterprise LRP-07H .308 rifle that is like new for what i have into it and not trying to price gouge- but people are offering $1000 less.

So hoe do people come up with the $5000 price?

Well the other $2200 is the value of securing a firearm that they will no longer be able to after 1/1/17.

Sure there is featureless, but for alot of people, we hate featureless Guns, amd we like our pistol grips amd collapsing stock.

So of the gun is only worth $2800, why is the value of of securing the gun worth $2200?

That because the gun is not available through any other means but for a used market. Amd every day a person waits, that value goes higher as more people are securing the gun amd less are being offered for sale.

So peippe are.competing against the risk, because lets be honest... what is an extra $2200 in the grand wcheme of life?

For someone like me, who is 25 years old, I will never stop kicking myself 20 years down the road for not forming over a mere $2200.

So all of a sudden there is value on securing the firearm now.

So to answer your question, no. The gun is not worth $5000.

But the gun and the security of knowing you will have the gun I'm a time that would otherwise be impossible, is worth the $5000.

The gun is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. As simple as that.

There are several offered for $5,000 in the Marketplace. I don't see them moving, so you might be right, for now. But when someone finally pays $5,000 for a SCAR 17, then that's what it's worth.

No matter what you are I or anyone else thinks.
