Between the dumbasses who insist in shooting in unsafe directions, and all the knuckleheads who leave their trash all over public lands, the anti-gun people don't have to look far for excuses.

THIS! Anti-gun people are always looking shut us down. Too many of us are giving them too much ammo to use against us. Especially the trash in the desert/forests.

Common with people who buy property near open BLM land that allows recreational shooting. One day you get a visit from a BLM Ranger who advises you the range is being closed. Turns out it's the new neighbors who is afraid an errant round could strike him thus all those who use the public range are turned away and the one complainer gets his way.
