Love my U-15 stocks. Have 2, 1 for my HD AR and 1 for my3G competition AR.
Heavy but very sturdy. Made of wood. Wish they were still made. Just ordered the FRS-15 for another build.
Wish they were available for rifle buffer. If you can't shoot good, at least look good shootingComment

x2The easiest and cheapest one I did was to drill a small hole through the M4 style adjustable stock latch and put a small screw there. It kept the latch from being useable which meant I couldn't adjust the stock.
Literally 10 seconds to remove.
The Hammerhead grip is great, they run $30 retail but go on sale periodically for $10.
You can find any number of muzzle brakes or linear compensators for $40 apiece.
All of this stuff is easy as pie to undo.
Hammer head and magpul cts stocks with a drilled and tapped hole so the stock is locked in place. I used a hex head cap screw, so an allen wrench will remove it if I want to set it to a different length. Even before going featureless, I always used the same notch on the adjustable stock. What a pointless law that one is. I would love to hear how the anti gun people expect an adjustment of 3" or so to change how a rifle works.
The hammer head is very easy to hang onto and I run the gavel safety which I think is from ares armor. With the paddle down, it is on safe and interferes with my trigger finger. A flick forward and the interference in gone and it is on fire. The paddles/levers are index-able and it only costs 40 bucks. He who dies with the most tools/toys wins

Friend talked to them today by phone call about a DD M4V5 - when ordering you have option of buffer tube - enter "none" - - the existing buffer tube on your Daniel Defense will work - --

Pin your existing stock as stated above or use a magpul fixed carbine stock. It will work right on top of your carbine buffer tubeComment

Any updates on the whole "web of thumb is too low" potential issue on the FRS-15? I definitely want one, I just find yaself concerned about that aspect. And nobody seems to have a satisfactory answer after reading through old threads. Haha
Web of thumb issue meaning that the web of hand is low enough to trigger pistol grip classification.
I know Thordo has answered this question before, I've only found old threads however and wanted to know if anything has changed. I feel bad for bringing up what is possibly a nonissue...Last edited by Ergo the Qualmed; 07-06-2016, 1:02 AM.This business will get out of control. The theory behind the Thordsen stock is that it is a stock and not a pistol grip, so the thumb web rule won't apply.Any updates on the whole "web of thumb is too low" potential issue on the FRS-15? Will that hold up in court? Who knows. There is the same level of ambiguity about any of the other options as well......get the "right" jury in there, and any of our featureless options could be considered "assault weapons".Comment

The ergonomics of the Thordsen appear to be no different than any other Non-Black Rifle. I have one on the way and will compare the angle of the handle to my standard non-black rifles and see how it matches up. If any difference, I would say the Thordsen angle is less aggressive than my Marlin 795 or 60.
If someone has a comparable rifle, say a Mini 14, it would be good to see a side by side comparison in photographs.NRA Life Member

Well I was thinking about digging out that stock and taking pics, but I don't appreciate being ordered around by some stranger on the internet.
Tip: a simple "please explain" would have come off as something less than an order. I spent years taking orders, I don't do that anymore.Comment
