I don't understand the point here. What in the ppt process is questionable?

I think this is regarding the recent theft of guns at FFL shops in Cali and those individuals trying to sell them now.

          Hope they catch those f***tards.

So PD has a system to run a serial numbers, do FFL dealers? So they can run the numbers in the system to see if they have been reported stolen before dros is started?

Glad to see our government going after law abiding buyers of off roster pistols rather than spending their time in the desert where jihadi John is practicing urban warfare with grenade launchers and weapons of mass destruction. Give it up for our liberal politicians.

This should be posted in FFL's section for better feedback and discussion.

I think it's mostly do to straw sales and not stolen guns the doj is really looking at the straw sales of off roster guns figuring out were it originated from

My guess woul;d be that this is related to the 'off roster guns on Indian reservation' thing.

Probably a good time to remind everybody you are limited to 5 handgun PPT transactions in a year as well where you are the seller. Thanks to the Gleam for needed obvious clarification.

Crap. I didn't know that. 5 purchase or sell or both? I didn't know there were rules regarding how many ppt one could do. So if I wanted to clean out my collection, I'm limited?

5 Sales transactions a year. You could sell 10 handguns in one transaction.

Got it. That sucks. Does the transaction have to be to one person or can one transaction incorporate 3 guns, 3 buyers?
