    Lame coworker

So I had a coworker tell me he's never shot a firearm before and would love to. I tell him I'll take him, so I buy 500 rounds of 5.56 and 300 rounds of 9mm, and extra eye and ear protection. I request the day off work, as I'm excited to educate and get someone new in to our gun world. Come the day we planned and he chickens out last minute, says he's not ready for a real gun and will stick to Call of Duty oh well I ended up with a nice cruise out to Nevada to shoot and got a nice steak in Vegas.

Any of you guys have a coworker or friend like that?

Here's the goodies I was going to have him use:

          LOL!!

You both have sold more guns than I've even owned. And nice ones might I add, like that sweet AR pistol of yours DDM.

So, this guy at work knows that I sometimes go shoot at lunch. He says he would like to try it. We go. I pay for his range time. He says he likes it. He just started dating this girl and wants to get a gun for home defense, just in case.

We go to a nearby store, he goes through the test, gets his HSC, picks out a Glock 17, puts down $100 for it, and starts his 10 day wait, to pay the balance when he picks it up.

Tells his girl that he decided to get a gun. She cries (literally ) and tells him she will not feel safe with a gun in the house (even if it is locked away unloaded, (yeah good HD gun)).

He never picks it up, and never brings it up again.

Coworker #2. "I am thinking of getting a pistol. Deciding between **** and ****". I happen to have both. "Next time you go during lunch, can you let me know? And could you bring both so I can try?" I tell him that it is no problem.

I let him know about 5 times (a week in advance) in the course of 2 months, he says yes, then a day before or that day says he can't go.

            I stopped asking.

However, I also have coworkers thst got interested, got stuff, and became responsible gun owners too...

Good bud/coworker says he wants to go shooting, I say sure I'm available whenever after work. Go shooting, have a great time, get in n out, all is well. Next day, he starts with, "well, that was awesome... But I don't see why anyone would need to have an assault weapon, or more than one gun even. Like... No one needs that for 'self defense' or anything." [...] I guess freedom is subjective.

Man that coworkers story is just sad, he should've just paid it off and picked it up and tell her about it when he brings it home, no refunds. Plus I'm surprised he obeyed the girlfriend so easily, my wife highly objected to a firearm and I still bought it, and my collection grows

I've seen quite a few people chicken out at the last minute. I once saw a girl hyperventilate and almost pass out at the range because she was afraid. She cried and left. I don't have friends like that though.

LOL, together with the bullet proof vest, maybe that's why he chickened out
