Trump scares me, in that he is such an unknown. As I have stated, I want someone who will uphold the constitution, who has integrity, and who is for the free market. I have no idea what he would do about healthcare - which I think the government should stay out of completely. I have no idea where he truly stands on the free market - I know he has used what I consider unjust laws to his advantage. He seems to me like a very pragmatic person, which to me means to me he doesn't have strong principles.

It seems you are against Cruz for various reasons. I have been a strong supporter of his from the beginning - not just recently. As I have stated, he is too religious for me, as I am an atheist, but, as he stated, he is not running as the theocratic leader. For those issues that he and I disagree on, I don't think he can do much to change. From what I've seen in his record as a lawyer and politician, he has acted in line with his stated beliefs, which is a sign of integrity.

    Thanks for listening.
Well if it's any consolation, I would take Cruz over the rest of the field beyond trump. Mainly for immigration reasons as long term there will not be any conservatives elected ever again, if we allow in millions of Mexicans voters. Simple as that.

That said I fully expect Cruz to burn everybody big time. But I doubt he could get elected, as he has the charisma of Bob Dole, probably less. He is very easy to dislike as a person. A certain percentage of people votes on this factor.

Trump because he's beholden to no man and all the negatives about his character being blasted all over the media have no actual foundation in Trumps words or action and are just opponents feigning outrage and offense through a bull horn.

Cruz hunts; Trump doesn't. Cruz has always fought hard for the 2nd amendment. Hell, Trump donated to Hillarys presidential campaign 4 times. Trump just became a conservative, Cruz has always been one..and even then Trump moved left on illegal immigration in Saturdays debate. I'm going with Cruz

Gary Johnson is the candidate I'd love to see in office. The rest are corporate shills and career frauds. That being said, I'd take Rand second, then any other Republican third, hopefully to nullify a garbage Democrat vote.

Edit: I hope to God we don't get stuck with a neoconservative or neoliberal. That would be the end of this nation.

Op should be who will the GOP vote for?

A member of the US Republican National Committee has admitted that the GOP candidate in the 2016 presidential election will be chosen by the party

"IF" the GOP is going to play the "Contested Convention" card after Mr. Trump wins significantly more of the peoples (popular) vote then the GOP party needs a revolution. This is how "TYRANNY" creeps it's ugly head into our government, the government of the people and for the people. How dare the " party establishment" take away the vote of the people. Mr. Trump might be right that this would spark riots. If the "unbound delegates" decide the election and not the vote of the people, what does that say about the GOP? Is this a dictatorship? Where is the democracy?

If Trump or Cruz don't get the 1237 required delegates, a contested convention would result in a vote between Trump and Cruz, right? I don't see that as unfair, since neither one of them would have gained over 50% of the votes, which means that neither one of them are the "people's" choice. And, given the choice between Trump and Cruz only, the "people's" choice may not have been the same if there were only two in the race. (I realize that if in the 1st vote no one gets the 1237 votes, it becomes a brokered convention, which could result in someone other than Trump or Cruz winning, which would be terrible - agreed. And I also realize that if Kaisch is still in the race during a contested convention, some of the "establishment" have been advocating supporting him, which would also be terrible. But, I don't think Kaisch has a chance in that situation either).

I hope that one of them (Trump or Cruz) gets the 1237 delegates before the convention.

                            Vote Cruz!

Individual rights are not subject to a public vote; a majority has no right to vote away the rights of a minority; the political function of rights is precisely to protect minorities from oppression by majorities (and the smallest minority on earth is the individual).

Trump could conceivably be the first president in history to ever win by write-in votes..
I'm beginning to understand that the term, "We, the People". is meaningless to the politicians.
