When you say You who are you referring to? I think illegal immigration is a problem but building a wall and deporting them all? Most illegals arent swimming the rio grande. They are coming here legally and staying on expired visas. I would support trump if i had to but he is a nincompoop.Well for example you say you can't deport 12+ million. But you could find a way to make them unemployed. I'm guessing some may go to Mexico then. Crooked employers are given a free ride on cheap labor, zero enforcement.
Your plan is to legalize 12+ million people, put them on government benefits and then have 99% immediately automatically get registered to vote as democrats. So every state in the union will be overwhelming democrat like California.
Yes I can see how that would be popular with democrats.
But in no time at all, we will look exactly like Mexico, I guess they will then move on, into transforming Canada. The rich here will have their peasant workers like in Mexico, no middle-class.
With that said deporting them in itself isnt what im against. But what is the actual gameplan?
Building a new agency? Hire 1000 new cops and train them? Then each of them has to average 12,000 deportations all across the country? Put em on buses drive em to the other side of this "big beautiful" door? How do you see this workingComment

everyone I vote for loses
maybe I should stop voting so they would win ?
I hope for Cruz, expecting Trump."I saved your life, AND brought you pizza" -- MeComment

Who "personally" hates Ted?Doesn't it bother people that almost everyone that is in close contact with Cruz hates him. They dislike or like his politics but the loathe the man. That's a red flag. Too unpleasant and personally out of control for politicians.
Think about how much people hate him personally (not politically) that they will openly state he's an *** hole. Imagine the electing the most unlikeable self centered POLITICIAN, so bad that other politicians gag on his name, to be president.
Rand Paul is libertarian and they don't hate Rand. Scalia and Ginsburg were best friends.
Besides any establishment dbag from the senate? Hell is take their hate as a reason to trust TedUnless we keep the barbarian virtues, gaining the civilized ones will be of little avail. Oversentimentality, oversoftness, washiness, and mushiness are the great dangers of this age and of this people." Teddy Roosevelt

How does a gov tax us with such a small IRS?When you say You who are you referring to? I think illegal immigration is a problem but building a wall and deporting them all? Even a small force can accomplish a hell of a lot if they have a reasonable budget and can make examples of people. (And I'm not saying the IRS is reasonable). With deportations though I imagine they'd have so many people eager to help it wouldn't be some small force.... Plus you know we alreadyhave like 2 million military personnel and hundreds of thousands of cops....Unless we keep the barbarian virtues, gaining the civilized ones will be of little avail. Ted is a globalist/bailout republican, giving tea party speeches. But some people perfer words over action.
His personality is grating and dry, forgivable if a good guy, but his advisers send up big warning signs.
You start seeing CFR and neocons all over the place you don't exactly need a crystal ball to predict what his policies will be.Comment

Out of curiosity, bonusweb, who are you supporting in the Republican primary?Ted is a globalist/bailout republican, giving tea party speeches. But some people perfer words over action.

Well it was Rand, but all can see now is trump. Its a risk, of something bad but not a certainty of bad with Cruz.
Trump on addressing trade is something I have not heard from either party, basically forever. I can only hope he keeps his word.
As much of what he says I like even though he's not the best speaker. I perfer people that talk in clear complete sentences. He cuts short every thought, and assumes people already understand what he is talking about. (That's s big assumption)
Btw at least Bush is gone. Rubio is almost the same however.Last edited by bonusweb; 02-20-2016, 6:46 PM.Comment

Thank you for that. A friend of mine, who also was supporting Rand Paul, also says he is now for Trump. FYI, Rand Paul was my 2nd choice behind Cruz.Well it was Rand, but all can see now is trump. Its a risk, of something bad but not a certainty of bad with Cruz.

Trump scares me, in that he is such an unknown. As I have stated, I want someone who will uphold the constitution, who has integrity, and who is for the free market. I have no idea what he would do about healthcare - which I think the government should stay out of completely. I have no idea where he truly stands on the free market - I know he has used what I consider unjust laws to his advantage. He seems to me like a very pragmatic person, which to me means to me he doesn't have strong principles.
It seems you are against Cruz for various reasons. I have been a strong supporter of his from the beginning - not just recently. As I have stated, he is too religious for me, as I am an atheist, but, as he stated, he is not running as the theocratic leader. For those issues that he and I disagree on, I don't think he can do much to change. From what I've seen in his record as a lawyer and politician, he has acted in line with his stated beliefs, which is a sign of integrity.
Thanks for listening.Individual rights are not subject to a public vote; a majority has no right to vote away the rights of a minority; the political function of rights is precisely to protect minorities from oppression by majorities (and the smallest minority on earth is the individual).

Trump 2016
1)I'm sick of Political Correctness.
2)I'm in favor of a leader who is not afraid to address the problem of radical islam by name.
3)It's refreshing to hear a candidate say what I'm thinking.
4)It's nice that he doesn't back down and apologize the next day after someone tells him what he said wasn't nice.
5)He created a successful multi-billion dollar business and can fund his own campaign without taking money from special interest groups.
6)Doesn't need to use a teleprompter whenever he gets in front of a camera.
7)He states that fair trade is not fair when, for example, we have over a 500 billion dollar trade deficit a year with China.
8)He called out Zuckerberg and the validity of the entire H1B visa program when the zuck tried to say we don't have enough qualified workers in this country, telling him he just wants to take advantage of cheap labor..... How many folks on this site have been screwed over when their company replaced them with lower paid foreign H1B's?
9)His children are well spoken and do not suffer from the rich, spoiled, daddy never gave me responsibility syndrome.
10) He packs a gun.
11) He's not a career politician. They haven't done that great of a job thus far.
12) Having a large family and business to me indicates that he has a vested interest in keeping this country strong.
13)Has done more for the Christian community then any other pastor or church by speaking out against the mass genocide of Christians.
14) Has won the last 2 primaries with a healthy lead and didn't do all that badly in IA either.
15)Has raised more money in a single night for Veterans groups than all the other candidates put together, Republican or Democrat. He didn't just rely on others, he also gave a million of his own money. By his deeds you shall know them.
16)Has made a stand against unlimited immigration and has said there is nothing wrong with deciding who is allowed in your country.
17) Wants to "Make America Great again".
I can keep on going, but I understand people have other things to do today.Last edited by Paladin01; 02-20-2016, 8:21 PM.Comment

In the primary? Bernie Sanders. (LoL, I know, right?)
In the general, it will depend upon who the presumptive Republican candidate is. Unfortunately, I don't think I will get my choice.

Sometimes the law defends plunder and participates in it. Sometimes the law places the whole apparatus of judges, police, prisons and gendarmes at the service of the plunderers, and treats the victim -- when he defends himself -- as a criminal. Bastiat
