Lots of people serving in law enforcement and the military are also musicians.

There are different classifications of artillery. And actually Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture uses cannon fire to depict Russian cannon fire against Napoleon and cannons are classified as "guns". Guns because their trajectory angles make their fire direct-fire. Just like the nine 16-inch guns on the World War II Iowa class Battleships. So in the video I posted the howitzers being used are just mimicking the Russian cannon fire.

Firearms are like instruments. There are some for beginners, some with fine wood, each with their own character.

Musicians are like shooters. A fine instrument does not make a fine musician, and an expensive rifle does not make a marksman.

Both are focused disciplines. There isn't as much overt expression of creativity in shooting, but both endeavors require patience, practice and dedication. Many people find both of them rewarding.
