I want out of here so bad. To get the stars to align and find a place the wife and I can agree on, find a job that pays enough to continue my march to retirement, and a piece of property that fits the bill. Get this place in order to sell and be able to maximize the investment I have made.

Sounds easy. I am finding that in practice, not so much.

I will get there. Some way, some how, some day.

Stupid people don't know they are stupid. Because they are stupid. They will follow evil geniuses and do their bidding, because they are stupid.

Really super stupid people look up to, and follow stupid people like they were geniuses, because to them, they are. Unfortunately the reality of it is, that doesn't make stupid people any smarter.

That right there is the root cause to most problems in the world.

There are more gun owners in California than there are people in Idaho. If every gun owner decided to move from the PRK tomorrow, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon and Washington, the entire West Coast would turn bright red overnight.

This is one of the less considered effects of tyrannical gun control at the state level. When they ban semi-auto anything and everything in CA and people pull their heads out of their butts and realize that their 10/22 is a felony waiting to be discovered, lots of gun owners will leave. They're going to drive out a large part of their tax base and a large part of the population that gets them so many electoral votes and Representatives in Congress. States that are pro-gun will pick up more Congressional Reps and more tax base.

That's a recipe for polarization and civil war, BTW.
Right. We need more gun owners in CA not Idaho. The grabbers smile everytime a freedom loving American trades his prime california real estate for dirt in arizona.

I dont know what the OP is on about. I keep getting reassured we are gaining our rights back by the day. That's why we need to just blindly throw money at groups here.

The King is going to lay out some of his ideas for us tonight. Let's see what he has in store for Idaho.

With any luck, the wife and I will be moving to Arizona by summer. It would be a move back to Arizona for me, the first place she's lived besides California. I was born here but have been well traveled, living in Alaska, Arizona, Washington, and California. However, circumstances have changed and a move to a more free state has become something viable for us. So, onward we shall go. I'll miss the land and location here, but damn sure won't miss the laws.

You need to learn how the world works.

                      If you live in California:

                      - You pay taxes to the state/local government that oppresses you.
                      - You are counted as a member of the population. That means your state gets more votes in Congress because you have more Representatives and your state gets more electoral votes in the Presidential election.

If you live in a pro-gun state like Arizona

                      - You pay zero dollars in taxes to California
                      - You are counted as as a resident of Arizona, effectively increasing the power of that state at the federal level.

If 5 million gun owners left California tomorrow, California would lose around 15 electoral votes, 15 Congressional reps, a crap ton of money and a crap ton of political power at the Federal level. Having gun owners move to California would give the PRK more money to bend us over at the state level and more power to bend us over at the Federal level.

This is high-school civics. Come on, man.

I made the move in May to Yuma AZ for work and easily dropped the phrase "home" when I come back to CA to visit family. Mind you I've lived in CA for 23 years.... It's the Titanic folks, lots of fancy and expensive things everywhere, but we all know how the story ends.

                            Never say never.

Nobody ever thought they would see the push in this last election cycle that was seen in VA either, yet there it was. It was likely not the last. If Hillary, Bernie or any other left wing radical get the key to the house at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, Idaho may have no choice, along with the rest of the red states.

Be happy where you are, but don't let your guard down. As people flee the holes that are CA, NY and other blue states, many of them will be liberals who will want the same "common sense" laws so the don't feel scared in their new homes. Much like radical Muslims, Liberals demand we bend to their views, they won't simply adjust to things in their new homes.

Like I said, never say never.
