I always thought a future of leaving California as a very unlikely thing. But as things unravel on so many fronts, my vacating California one day is inevitable.

That makes me quite sad, but it's even more sad to have watched this state become something so unrecognizable from what I found it to be 25 years ago when i came here. The excessive regulations, the socialism, the infringements, the criminalizing of things that put forth no offense to others, the runaway taxation, distortion in the courts, the lowest-common denominator being given the highest of rewards and allowances, even the culture and civility in general has been perverted, molested, and destroyed.

The socialists are going to stay right here in CA which will probably float along for a while, but eventually all those social programs here are going to need to be fed. Kind of hard to do when your tax base is leaving you. Nice post btw.
Yep, most of the people in my AZ town are CA transplants. I never run into any libs. The town is about as red as it gets.

You just gave me a gut punch and tear reading your post. I feel the same reluctance and disappointment in realizing I may one day sooner than later be leaving the place of my birthplace of 50+ years. I like water and snow so maybe Oregon or Washington will be my destination.

The thing is, Bloomberg ' s money is pushing their agenda wherever there are easy targets. That's why WA is moving in the wrong direction from Seattle's votes, OR is loosing ground and has to PPT stuff now, and they are working on other states as well. Remember CA lost our FTF PPT back in '91, and look how far we sunk since then in only 20 years.

One of the states even put it on billboards and freeway signs on the main roads going north a while back.....

Just as it's easier to help your fellow man financially when your pocket is full of money, it's easier to help fight for the 2A when you remove your tax money from a state like CA and move it to a state that respects their citizens. California is a complete lost cause. You really don't know how tragically bad it is there until you move out. Removing the money the state takes from you to keep you under their thumb is the absolute best way you can currently fight this tyranny.

I hear ya, but some of us consider California our home and will resist to the last those who want to make it a gulag. Personally I will do everything I legally can to keep shooting and educate others about what an enjoyable and useful hobby it can be. I don't think we have a very Democratic election system what with illegals having surreptitiously been given voting rights. However, we who care to stand and resist this takeover by the left can still influence some politicians as well as voters.

But you are so way outnumbered to the point of irrelevance and that position is guaranteed by the "open immigration" with your neighbors to the south. The lure of free healthcare, housing, drivers licence, and ultimately the vote will keep California firmly to the left way beyond our lifetimes. Sorry,, truth.

You're doing what we should all be doing. Thank you for actually doing something to help.

That said, there is nothing wrong with doing that on the right side of enemy lines where you can live and enjoy your freedoms, all the while sending money to help the battle in the PRK.

We're out of here, the only question is when. Even when we leave, I'll still fund pro-gun causes from the free states for as long as there are pro-gun causes to fund in California.

Nobody up here is screaming for ammo controls, bullet button laws, semi auto bans, or for that matter any gun control. What a breath of fresh air, literally and figuratively in being in the great north west.

Today's expected high in my area is about 80 degrees. I'm still in CA an legally have ARs which do not require a mag lock and can legally accept my legal +10 round mags. Yesterday I had lunch with three 70ish year old retired ladies, two have CCWs (one of the CCW holders lives in Los Angeles) and the other is a gun owner. I can and do legally hunt from my front door and fishing is less than 2 miles away.

I have chosen to stay here and fight for my rights and those of future generations instead of running away from the fight and gloating about being a refugee. But, to each his/her own. If you're happy being a refugee who fled instead of fought, good for you. If you're trying to brag about it, you've failed.

I will posting back in Calguns everyday about freedom when I leave. I'm hoping it will inspire others to leave as well. I'll be very happy to be a refugee living under my own free will. You too one day will see that you are no longer wanted in this state. The cause you are supporting has been crushed. There are no more rights to fight for. They have all been stripped away (or are going to be stripped away in short order.)

A full ban of all guns (for law abiding citizens) in CA is the only thing the progressives will accept. Nothing else. Why wait around for that to happen? Actually, you don't have to wait, it is happening. Poor Kes and the CGF members are looking for new jobs as we speak. I will leave the door to the tunnel open brother, come on through when you can take no more.

We all have our opinions, needs, wants etc.

Don't forget we're all Americans, most of us are patriots.

Stand on your own two feet.

If something makes you happy or makes sense for your well being, talk about that, we'll be happy for you and support you.

If you're here to be condescending and derisive and divisive to one another, then you indeed have failed whatever you were trying to get across, unless of course, that was your objective all along.

Keep the faith! Don't give up the ship!
