The laws won't change in Idaho. As things get worse here and gun owners leave, they're turning red states even more red. You're going to see people who are committeed to freedom becoming more and more concentrated as they leave huge population states like NY and CA.

There are more gun owners in California than there are people in Idaho. If every gun owner decided to move from the PRK tomorrow, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon and Washington, the entire West Coast would turn bright red overnight.

This is one of the less considered effects of tyrannical gun control at the state level. When they ban semi-auto anything and everything in CA and people pull their heads out of their butts and realize that their 10/22 is a felony waiting to be discovered, lots of gun owners will leave. They're going to drive out a large part of their tax base and a large part of the population that gets them so many electoral votes and Representatives in Congress. States that are pro-gun will pick up more Congressional Reps and more tax base.

That's a recipe for polarization and civil war, BTW.

Really? History has already proven that restrictive gun laws that originate in CA have ended up being used to make Federal laws. So, yes, Ca gun laws can and will affect gun laws in Idaho and every other state in the Union. We need to keep fighting on the front lines or the front lines will move Northward and Eastward. Those who think it can't/won't happen are as blind as Germans were before WWII.

With 55 electoral votes in the State of CA, unfortunately, if every gun owner in CA left it wouldn't make a difference... even if CA lost 15 electoral votes. IMO, we need to bring back the popular voting system where every vote counts.

Nobody up here is screaming for ammo controls, bullet button laws, semi auto bans, or for that matter any gun control. What a breath of fresh air, literally and figuratively in being in the great north west.

I dont know,, lot of anti cancer meds in E Oregon, N Nevada, W Montana. And Idaho is dosed to the max, the cancer doesn't have a chance of getting in.

I always thought a future of leaving California as a very unlikely thing. But as things unravel on so many fronts, my vacating California one day is inevitable.
That makes me quite sad, but it's even more sad to have watched this state become something so unrecognizable from what I found it to be 25 years ago when i came here. The excessive regulations, the socialism, the infringements, the criminalizing of things that put forth no offense to others, the runaway taxation, distortion in the courts, the lowest-common denominator being given the highest of rewards and allowances, even the culture and civility in general has been perverted, molested, and destroyed.

Having a residence in Arizona is liberating. Perhaps it's all in my head but it feels like what California was a long time ago, it's time to leave behind what can't be fixed...
