Steps to clear bedrooms

The was no particular reason for this question. I understand that the best bet would be to not go at it alone with this layout. I was just wondering how you would go about it if you had to. Nothing wrong with running through scenarios in your head.

My "call of duty" dog would probably go right to the person, but he's not always inside.

Without training and backup, you don't "clear" anything.

Honestly, your home layout is horrible.
Assuming it is all ground-floor, you have no way of knowing what room the bogey is in, and from the master, you have no direction to shoot with a clear backstop.

If you KNOW that the bogey is in the living room, then the hallway becomes the funnel.. but just as you may hope to find him trapped there, you must not trap yourself there.
But even that assumes that shooting down the hallway has a safe backstop.

If you live in an apartment, you must not shoot through an interior wall.

There was no need to draw the rest of the layout as this scenario really only catered around entering through the hallway. All the houses around me were built pretty much the same way. I didn't come on here to hear how horrible my house is. I assume most of you have ran through various drills at home.
Cokebottle, you're right about the hallway being a funnel that I would not want to be trapped in. More likely than not, I would be in the back of the house and someone would come through the opposite end, but I was just curious what you all would do. Maybe you would have a baby in the back of the house and you were doing dishes or something and you heard a loud noise. I don't know, anything is possible, right?

Whatever you do while clearing your house, be dynamic.

Dynamic entries, dynamic exits, dynamic post house clearing fist bumps with the wife.

Honestly, going from the front of your house through the rooms effectively without exposing yourself to being shot in the back is impossible. The only way at all to do it would be to hope to use surprise to win the fight and move as quickly and quietly as possible. That's not much of an advantage if any.

The best solution would be to not clear the bedrooms at all.

The 2nd best solution would be to place IP cameras in all of the bedrooms and use those to scout the rooms in advance if you had family in the rooms that you were concerned about. Once you determined where the intruder(s) were I would get my family out of the rest of the rooms and then get into a position of advantage and observe the room they were in while my wife called 911.

The 3rd best solution would be to have an alarm system installed so that at the very least you would know which room was breached and then proceed like option #2. For obvious reasons it's better to be able to see in the rooms than to just know which room they're in.

Those are the only realistic scenarios I can think of.
